My son has a loft bed that also has a sitting area beneath it. The problem with those types of beds is that they are so dang high. So high that the blades of a ceiling fan were spinning right next to his bed, and if he leaned over too far he could lose an eye or something. We needed to get something that was bladeless, yet could cool his room down, and he eventually found this fan.If you've ever installed a ceiling fan before - the installation is similar. The only step I decided not to do was for putting holes in the ceiling for the side screws. The fan itself is pretty light, and has the same amount of screws for the bracket as heavier models have. After installation I did pull on it firmly and it definitely is secure enough. Pro tip though: 2 people would definitely help with this install. The installation part where you have to attach the wires then line the fan up at the same time into place is really difficult by yourself. So have one person hold the fan up, while the other attaches the wires together.As far as the air it puts out - it does push out a good amount of air with 3 different levels and a varying "wind blowing" mode. The problem is, if you look at how it's designed the air doesn't have anywhere to go but down. With regular fans the air goes a little bit of everywhere. He is still happy with it, and at least we can get some air flowing into the room now without fear of him losing an eye.As far as the remote it's....okay. The fan options for blowing air are great/what I would expect. It's the light/color changing aspect that's a little frustrating. The only light option you have on the remote is on/off. If you want to make it change color, or dimming levels you have to download an app on your phone that connects via bluetooth. If you don't do this you're stuck with a bright white light. Wish there was one more button that allowed you to cycle through various light modes rather than relying entirely on the app.If you don't mind the app you can make the lights do some pretty cool things. Rainbow effects, solid colors, strobe effect, you name it. The main white light is very bright and provides a good amount of light for the room.The speaker is....okay I guess. Not a feature I would have ever thought of for a ceiling fan. Definitely not concert quality or anything like that, but kinda cool that you can have music coming out of your ceiling (again through bluetooth). After installation Ace of Base was going strong in his room.Overall my son is extremely happy with the fan, and im mostly happy. I'm a little leery on LED lights because you can't replace them, so we'll see how long it lasts. Other than that he uses it every night, and the fan is running most of the day as well. I'd recommend this fan if you're in a situation like I am with a tall bed.

I installed this in my daughters room and she loves it. it was easy to install and connect to. The speaker is fine, so I don't know why so many bad reviews on that. Tons of light combos and the white light is great.The fan works great but does only push the air straight down.

The media could not be loaded.  I wish I could give this fan 5 stars, but definitely maxed out at 4 due to the issues I had. The first fan I received did not work. The casing for the board inside was not sealed and the board was hanging out, it was missing the ground screw, and when installed the fan did not work.Amazon replaced the faulty one with a new one. The 2nd fan I received had the same issue with the housing for the board, but the ground screw was there, and the double sided tape on the back of the housing was actually sticky.Installation was pretty easy; it took my dad and me a little under an hour, which included 20 mins testing my wiring to make sure that wasn't the issue with the first fan (my wiring tested fine).There's surprisingly a lot of airflow for how small the blades are. My house was built in the 1920s so my living room is small, only 12'x16', and a big ceiling fan is too much for the space. This size fan is perfect, and honestly would probably work fine for a room 50% larger.The light is super bright, and I like that there's 3 temperature options - there's a warm yellow/white, a daylight, and a 3rd that's between those two.The hardware itself is lightweight but seems sturdy, and it's really cute. The remote is a little bulky, but I don't mind that since it's harder to misplace!

User friendly

Have only had it 5 weeks and the fan is already not working properly. Does not want to keep working as it oscillates. Unfortunately it is beyond the 30 days to return.

The light is really bright and I love being able to control it with my app. My only gripe is the speaker quality.

No matter how I connect, I am unable to get the blades to work with one switch and the light to work with another. Seems that the unit only work with one switch and I have to use the remote to turn the fan on. Wondering if anyone else has had any luck controlling the blades and light independently with separate switches.

Fan construction feels pretty shoddy, but it’s light weight so it shouldn’t break too easily. 90% of its thin plastics that’s similar than fancy plasticware. Most of the fan’s features work with the remote except the rgb. Manual doesn’t tell you but you can cycle power switch quickly to cycle through some non programmable profiles. The big issue with this device is the app. At time of writing 4/3/2023 the app doesn’t allow you to control the fan at all. (Turn Toggle fan or set speed). While the speaker does work, the “music” feature doesn’t in app. App hasn’t been updated in a year which isn’t great either.Lastly the biggest oversight with this fan is it has a few second internal memory. If you cycle your light switch at all you lose what color you had selected and the fan doesn’t kick back on. The design isn’t practical at all and cannot be controlled without remote.If you ever lose it or it get damaged or w/e youre sending your money straight to the landfill. I regret my purchase.
