Great connectors, if you have the tools.
I used to have some screw-on RG6 connectors around the place, but I have replaced them all now with these compression fittings. That, and setting up the house for new OTA service, and I'm now into my second bag. These work very well, if you use the right tools. Or even right-enough tools. I'm using a fairly cheap compression tool and stripper, and they're working fine with these. They give a very good, solid connection every time. And they're cheap enough that you won't mind cutting one off and replacing it if you need. The only downside is that the nut doesn't "spin" on the connector. There is a bit of friction on the assembled connector. That, and the odd shape of the nut surfaces, makes it just a bit hard to twist onto the fitting with your fingers. But it does go on with the fingers.

Makes an excellent flaring tool too!
Excellent. Work on Quad Shield and on Dual Shield RG6. Makes an excellent "flaring tool" too! Watch my youtube video on how to turn one of these into a flaring tool that makes it real easy to put these on your cable. I have put on hundreds of connectors on Dual Shield RG6 with no problems. But then I ran into some Quad Shield that was very difficult. I watched every Youtube video I could find and nothing was really helping. I was a the point of tears! I had my 2 engineer sons helping and it was a hard job putting the ends on Quad cable. Yes, I was folding the outer braid back, and removing the outer foil layer, and then folding the inner braid back and I was still having trouble with some. I purchased more strippers from Amazon. I bought two flaring tools from Amazon that did not help at all. But prayer and lots of practice paid off. I made one of these connectors into a flaring tool. I also shared some tips that make all the difference in success or frustration. Video name: "Make a RG6 Coaxial Flaring Tool for Quad or Dual Shield. EASY!" I made several videos showing a process that really took the frustration out of the job. Hope this helps others.

Works great!
I just put one of these connector on standard RG-6 and another on a quad shielded RG-6 cable with no issues. It was easy and both cables are mated to the connector tightly. The quad shielded coax take just a slight bit more work to get the cable in there but still relatively easy and not a whole lot of force required to push it in. As other reviewers have noted, these are made for hand tightening onto the mate when you connect them to equipment because of the design.... but I suppose you could get a wrench on it if you really needed to. Gets the job done well and at a great price. These are SO much better than the twist on connectors. Here's some more info: These connectors measure about 1.25 inches long uncompressed. They compress about 3/16 inches of the 1.25 inch length. I used the Jonard CT-200 to compress them: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0069627ZU/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i03?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Excellent, if you have the right cable tool.
I was impressed to see that these are exactly the same brand and style that the Comcast tech had a few weeks ago. On the other hand, I had a bear of a time finding a tool that could compress them. With my older PCT tool, the connector was too long. With my newer Ideal tool, the connector was too short. In the end, I invested in a new Klein compression tool that was adjustable, and worked. So, before you invest in 50 of these, you'll want to make sure you're using the right compression tool.

Good value for the price
I always used the hex crimp type but hadn't really touched coax in a number of years until we wanted to move over to streaming we needed an antenna. Started to do some research found out compression F-connectors were the way to go I had seen cable techs using these didn't really pay much attention. I got a Kline crimp tool as well as stripper and these barrels worked great only thing have to pull back the foal and mesh outer conductor to be able to push it down once you get the inner foam level with the bottom of the F connector screw crimp its sealed. I like the fact that this seal to the coax. If it's outdoors just use some electrical tape then over that coax rubber sealer once you do that never get water in there last for years.

Very happy
I bought a couple bags of these PPC Ex6plus connectors with the Southwire 56918445 500-Feet Quad Shields and related tools as recommended by the Amazon community. They've been very good. I would buy again and the reseller (CQDeals) was excellent. The packaging was great and the bag was sealed. I've built two dozen cables and am pleased with the results. They were very tight on the Southwire quad shield which took some practice as some other reviewers said on the Southwire but would buy again. I wish there was a wrench that would help simplify sliding these onto the a thicker cable without having to peel the braid and foil shielding. There would be a mint in that wrench for you inventors out there. (Or please comment to me please if you are aware of such a tool.) I had some luck with brute force and shoving the connector on the cable onto a small piece of wood that I had drilled a hole out. With some elbow grease I got them on. Also I am looking for an to use a loose term... Easy Grip End Connector... to slip over these to simplify tool-less attaching and detaching from an F-port connector on the TVs and distributed amp splitters. I have two photos I'm uploading of these connectors with a couple nice shields I harvested off of a Comcast made coax cable. It was really nice and I would love to find more of these but I can't find them anywhere. When I call Comcast I can't seem to find anyone who has any idea what I'm asking for. I saw Mediabridge had some easy grip connectors that are different than my photos but they seem proprietary to their cables and not for sale. Any comments if one knows the names of these easy grip end connectors or more importantly where I may purchase some I'd be grateful. Update: Thanks to a fellow Amazon member we have located the tool-free add-on item that I feel is an exceptional optional add-on to make our COAX cables a notch nicer. They're called Jumper Sleeve from a company named PCT International. They're on Amazon but don't seem to sell the Jumper Sleeves on Amazon. I found them at the PCT Store, as well as Ebay. Look for * Jumper Sleeve Easy to Use Connector Tool 18 mm TRS Connectors PCT-JS * and you'll find them. My only tip is these Jumper Sleeves won't fit over the COAX cable if you put a shrink wrap cover on them. And once one puts a Jumper Sleeve on its really hard to get off.

Great!! Only used two to learn how and they work great.
These connectors supply good signal even through splitters and seat well on RG-6 cables. Key is using a good compression tool, I bought a low end one and it worked, but wasted two connectors before getting the hang of it. They connectors have experienced outdoor conditions of ice, high winds and rain, sleet, snow, and intense sun so far so good, no loss in signal or signal quality. Worked on both Satellite and cable - DISH, DTV, TWC, and HD Public TV Signals. Would recommend and buy again. Experience in cable wiring of home and helping 3 friends after seeing how I did mine 16 connectors used so far with no failures or signal loss/degradation. (Experience: Novice/Beginner)

They're great, you just need the right crimper.
I have three crimpers one worked with an added shim. These are still great connectors, i'll just have to keep an eye out for a belden crimper.

Nice product for the price.
These do exactly what they are designed to do, but be careful which one you buy... the "Plus" versions are slightly longer than the non-plus version, so just make sure your tool can accommodate this larger form. I had to return this pack for the non-plus. Don't see any differences using either or.
