The only review you need to read. This is for freshwater review. NOT FOR SALTWATER!!! These are amazing reels for the price. For anyone who is starting out or is avid fishermen. I been using these 4 to 5 times a week on the biggest lake in PNW. I fish Lake Washington. With 30 different types of fish. And different sizes and weight. With great success. I currently own 3 of these Piscifun Flame reels. On 3 different setups, from pan fish to large mouth and cat fish. My setups are all less then $60 including the line I put on the reel. I I get the smooth cast everytime. From my 5" to 7" pole. Using all size lures and just to a split shot and bober set up for some panfish. You wont be disappointed in this reel. This isn't your cheap plastic walmart reel or reel and combo, you get at walmart. This reel does compete with the Penn or even other high end reels. But for a more affordable price tag. I have mine for a year now. And still cast smooth like day one. I don't keep up with the oiling and other maintenance, becuase I wanted to see how long it will last with neglect, also less $30 I can buy a new one if needed to be. So far over a year of use. And still going strong. I will recommend this to any fresh water fisherman or fisherman. It's a great reel for the beginner or the advance. Would I use this for a bass competition, probably. Lol. So here my setup for pan fish and basic bass fishing. If you are new to fishing or just wanting a nice cheap freshwater setup. Panfish - Bluegill,sunfish, pumpkin seeds, perch, white or black crappie, etc. I use a shakespeare micro series rod. This is my 5" rod. Ultra light. Great to feel even the smallest bites. Around $20 on amazon. Bigger fish - Trout, Bass, Walleye, etc. Berkley Cherry Wood HD This is a full wood rod. Coming in around 6'6 and also a 7" rod. Medium/heavy. Now before you say why would you want a Medium/heavy for trout or even walleye. This has a tip of a light rod (meaning you can fill small bites), but the back bone of a heavy rod. I pulled 13lbs fish in on 8lbs test thanks to this rod. This is like the name says. Made of cherry wood, so the tip is easily breakable. But wont break from weight of bigger fish. It's great rod. I been using them for 15+ years now. And own multiple sizes. Around $20 on amazon. I use berkely invisible line on all my reels. Just personal choice.

I have had this reel for over a month now. I have been using 10 pound mono on it and its worked fantastic! It casts beautifully and reels in very smoothly. The drag works quite well when getting caught up on snags. Its also nice to have the reverse switch on the bottom when needed. I have this reel on a light action rod for catching smaller fish. When I have got a bigger one, it feels like its a monster! I am very happy with this purchase.

Got this in size 3000 to replace my really old Ryobi Silver Cloud, and boy have I been happy with this! You can tell it's not 100% buttery smooth like those $200+ reels, but man is it close! The bail never snaps closed on hard casts, so you never get snap back which was the biggest problem I had with my old reel. It clicks clear but not obnoxiously loud when the drag is pulled, it clicks like a $250 Penn reel. I caught 2 large mouth bass and a shoal bass on this within my 1st 10 minutes out. The 2nd large mouth was a shade under 8 pounds, fought like crazy, and didn't seem to bother this reel at all. I've been so impressed with the KastKing brand that I tried their Florocarbon line too, and have been impressed with it so far too! Best of all, it seems not to twist the line at all, which is a huge problem on many other reels. The good - Looks awesome! Super quiet when reeling. No bail closing snap-back. Doesn't seem to twist the line like other spin cast reels. Almost as smooth as the high-dollar brands. Feels expensive! The bad - The crank handle is a little small for someone with large hands. I've never heard of this brand before seeing it on Amazon. Overall, really impressed with this brand. There's no way you can beat this for the money, it feels better than many $100 reels, and almost as good as a $200 reel. **UPDATE** one year later Still my favorite reel. I've used the Centron in freshwater and the Summer in saltwater each over 100 times this year. The Centron is still 100% perfect. The Summer still has zero slop and works perfect except the drag no longer clicks... but let's look at it's price, the way I've treated it, and it's environment. Best price for it's quality. I have never taken it apart and cleaned it, ever. Salt water and Florida sun destroys everything, except this reel! I did just buy some reel grease, so hopefully that brings the drag click back. If it doesn't, I'll update. Still 5 stars! **Update again** The Summer's drag click has physically broken. The little spring loaded piece that makes the drag click was twisted and the tip was broken off. No corrosion at all on the piece so I have no idea what made it break. It did last a year and a half, roughly 150 days of 12hr+ Florida Salt Water fishing. That's about 1800 hours of abuse. Not bad. It's just unfortunate that a part that wasn't affected by rust was the part that broke, but it went out like a champ on a 38 inch Snook.

I was looking for a good reel that I could camping but not a big one so it would fit. This fit what I wanted. I never had a KastKing before so I was skeptical. It was small enough, smooth casting, handled nicely, looked good, and had all of the add ons that you would need. Well, it worked on the trip and the price was good. For camping and especially for beginners this is a good reel. I would recommend this.
