Almost Perfect, Hoover Ignored Design Flaw
- Very light weight - Power suction on carpet/floor - Awesome relevant attachments with great suction - Minimal design, very simple to use (no more crazy knob or peddle adjustment, etc…), roller never stop spinning until power off - Bagged, very else to eject collected dusk/debris compare to bagless canister, just a beast … I had to use a bagged vacuum to clean bagless canister vacuum, real pain Everything is perfect about this new model Hoover bag vacuum, awesome new modern minimal design, very LIGHT WEIGHT to use, carry around the house, powerful suction, relevant attachments with great suction too, attachments attach/park on vacuum without falling off easily, great cable management, overall well design winner compare to many older vacuum models from Hoover. FYI… Over 3+ decades, I have 5 Hoover brand vacuums, 2 Hoover vacuums in the present and this 1 new Hoover vacuum of this model if decided to keep, may not. Seemed like each past successor Hoover model vacuum was heavier, heavier, heavier,… clunky to use, constantly adjust knobs, peddle, etc…. To my surprise, this new vacuum is a huge design improve, refinement and made cleaning enjoyable again!!! Turn on the power button and start vacuum, no knob or peddle to switch, change, adjust,… **BIG FLAW** Hoover somehow neglected and shipped one design flaw and thinking customers would not notice, really? The issue when use attachment, the hose detached from the hose dock so the hose dock wide open and the vacuum roller never stop spinning this caused carpet/floor dirt/debris swept up through the hose dock onto the vacuum side body. The longer using the hose attachment, the more debris/dirt see on vacuum body, very messy, big disappointed!!!

So light and powerful
I have only ever used Hoover brand name because I like them. I bought this model and didn't realize how light it was. I tried it and was worried about the power, but it is AMAZING! It can carry 2 of the 3 tools onboard. Perhaps it has a spot for all 3, but I have not read the directions yet. The unit was so, so easy to put together. Less than 1 minute. I love how the bag slides into a holder now. No filter falling off the pipe like some of the old models at times! I am surprised because I didn't think a newer model would be as good as one I have from 20 years ago, but it is!! I am pretty happy, and have already used it all over my house. I am so happy with this purchase!

Light, Easy To Use
I'd like to preface my remarks by saying I have used the vacuum a single time, but have handled it quite a bit on day one. The item is fairly easy to unpack and snap together, no issues there. I was very impressed on how light and easy it is to push the vacuum around, apparently they are made much lighter than my 20 - year old that I am replacing! On the LOW carpet setting, the brush stopped turning, but that may have been because the carpet wasn't 'low' enough. On HIGH and MEDIUM, it did great cleaned my living room rugs wonderfully. There is a drive that pulls the machine forward, so there is little effort. I also LOVE that it lays down almost flat to reach under furniture, tables, etc. I used to have to move my table in order to clean underneath it. People have said in the reviews that the cord is too short, I found that not to be an issue, and it is even a bit longer than the cord on my old vac. Also, people have said it is quite loud. I didn't find it all that loud, but again, my reference point is a 20-year old Bissel that may have been loud. The crevice tool is marginal. I say that because as you use the wand, there is still suction coming from the floor until and roller, and I found no way to turn that off so all the suction power comes from the hose and tool. My old one had that, so the crevice tool suction was far stronger. Also, when using the hose and wand/tool, the hose does seem quite short and is hard to extend. In all honestly, I think I'll keep using my old vac for the crevice tool/wand, and use this strictly for floor use. Overall I do enjoy it, and will see how it stands up over multiple uses!

Great suction power!
To my surprise, I have found that a bagged vacuum seems to perform better than the ones which have a canister that must be emptied. While replacing bags may seem inconvenient, the bags do hold a lot and are easy to change. I wouldn't classify it as lightweaight, but it is manageable to carry upstairs; and I think a heavier vacuum is to be expected when a vacuum cleans more thoroughly. And it's worth it to have a vacuum with great suction power! While the cord is a great length, it is not as durable as I had hoped; we've already had to apply electrical tape where the cord has been weakened and started fraying. Overall, it's worth the price!

Just okay could have been better
Well congratulations Hoover; in all my years of rating products I don’t think I have ever given a two star rating. I did look at other comments people had written before I purchased this vacuum and the big complaint, and really only complaint, was that the main carpet roller brush never turns off even when in the upright position and using the accessories. As with all other Hoover wind tunnel vacuums I have owned and other makers of vacuums, the brush stops spinning at high speed When the vacuum is in the upright position and you’re using the accessories as there is no real reason to have the carpet brush still spinning at that point. When I called Hoover, and before vacuum arrived, they said it was probably operator error and the brush will stop spinning when upright and using accessories. Well of course it arrived and for all those reviews it’s NOT operator error, it’s the design of the vacuum AND even mentions it in their instruction booklet. (Don’t leave vacuum in one spot for any length of time while using the accessories). Maybe two stars (should be one star but the powerful suction ups it one more star) in that it’s still powerful while using the accessories and the main brush is spinning. As to whether I keep it or not, I’m not sure yet. As a side note, Hoover says they do not sell that particular vacuum (my model) direct from them so I’m wondering if it’s a second hand (cheaper model) type vacuum that Hoover manufactured for the big box stores such as Amazon and other stores. Again, I’m just relating what Hoover told me. Either way I think I found a work around for the brush spinning. I will be raising it to the highest level so the brush IS NOT coming in constant direct contact with the wood floor or carpet when it’s stationary (upright) for a prolonged amount of time when I’m using the accessories. WILL SEE. Overall would consider different Hoover model. By the way, if the spinning main brush while using the accessories is not of concern, then it’s probably an okay vacuum with extended hose and cord. Lightweight (more or less) too. Update for users of this vacuum. As many have stated, repair parts are at a premium if you can even find them for this particular model. ALSO, take advantage of my mistake; be gentle on the push button canister release (bag access) it breaks/snaps with too much pressure. Again no replacement so I taped it up.
