Same 100, Liver Support for Dogs, SAM e Chewable Hepatic Support for Dogs, Promotes Cell Membrane Strength, Bacon Flavor (60 Count)

My dog just recently turned 8 years old and is now consider a senior. I been looking around for a good supplement that will help support her liver as she ages and something that is easily digestible. These come is a perfect mini size that is easily for her chew and the smell is wonderful and appeasing to her. She gobbles them up with quickly. I feel like these are beneficial for her health not only do they support her liver enzymes levels but also help support with memory function. These now have become a daily for my dog and work great for her and overall are very affordable.

I have been using this product for about a year. I give this product to my aging dachshund per my vet's recommendation following his liver panel blood tests.My dog is very small ( < 20 lbs) so given the dosage for a dog his size, I find this product extremely pricey. I haven't yet found an alternative but intend to discuss with my vet to see if I can source a product like this, but more affordable.Flavor-wise, my dog won't eat it unless it's hidden in food, which makes it hard to give without food (per instructions). The pills are quite large as well, which makes administering to a very small dog like mine difficult without food.Frankly, I feel like this company is gouging. The product is ok, but not fantastic in terms of size and palatability. I'm using this because I don't yet have a better alternative.

My vet recommended a SAM-E supplement when my dog had a pre-op blood test before a cleaning. I started giving this one broken in half and hidden in food to my chihuahua mix. He had a cleaning this summer and I was encouraged to hear his bloodwork shows vast improvement thanks to this supplement.

If your dog cannot chew hard things you need to crush it. My 10 lb dog dislikes them. They do what they're supposed to, so I keep giving them to her.

These claim to be chewable. They are VERY hard, even with the score in the middle, I had a hard time cutting. It just crumbled into smaller pieces, made a mess. My dog is small, 11 lbs ish. They are simply too hard/big for her. She has digestive issues, on prescription food so nothing I can "sneak" it into like a piece of cheese, hot dog or pill pouch. I tried using a pill crusher (which claims it will make it a fine powder), These are so hard that doesn't even work. Very disappointed and a waste of my money.

The smell of these pills is pretty bad. Not sure if that’s normal or if they are rancid. My pup did not like it on its own so putting in pill pockets helps.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the bottle was the yummy bacon smell. Right away, this stood out as different from other yucky smelling or tasting supplements! Our lab puppy is picky about what she eats, and she instantly started licking the bottle when she noticed the bacon smell. She excitedly ate it, and now looks forward to getting her supplement each day, almost like a treat! This is such a win for us, because I’ve been searching for a clean-ingredient supplement to support her liver and cognitive function as she grows. Since starting the supplement, I’ve also noticed that she’s got an extra pep in her step and more energy during playtime. She seems more alert, too! It’s been the perfect addition to our daily wellness routine.
