I went with my knowledge and bought the “A523”. After losing our OEM lock nut while playing chalk in the driveway with my children, I went to every auto part store who weren’t a help or had nothing that matched. Ultimately I’ve never purchased a part from Amazon; went to VW and they wanted $65 for 1 set but couldn't verify if it was an “A523” so I just went with Amazon and I’m so glad I did.I can finally change my poor brakes. If anyone needs help with changing their brakes and manually doing the electronic parking brake, buy the caliper rewind set from craftsman for $40 and follow the YouTube video of the gentleman taking the housing apart. If your spindle doesn’t rewind then try your best to fit the rewind set in between the piston and break while turning the spindle
