The RUSH Story
This is the third and final book of the detailed story of RUSH. It is the hardest to read as this book was being written when Neil passed. So, it does cover all. All 3 books are a must have for all RUSH fans.

A lot of not new tales and information from the early days
This is an engaging book that is an in-depth coverage of the band's early days on up through their breakthrough. It relates stories about how it was initially Rutsey's band, about early tensions between Ray D. and Geddy, their somewhat complicated history with Max Webster, and other topics not previously disclosed.Rush has always been a cult band. Those of us who hopped on early and stayed for the whole ride are used to searching for something new on the band, and this book definitely gives us that. Popoff goes a little 'fan-boi' at times, but not to the point of distraction. I'm looking forward to reading the balance of the trilogy, but if they are as good as this one I will feel safe saying that it is the most informative, engaging telling of the history of Rush.

Great Biography of the World's Best Band!
As a rabid Rush fan of over 40 years, the amount of detail in these volumes is a real treat. I miss them dearly, but their music and legacy live on!

A Fine Finish
Popoff rounds out his superb Rush trilogy with an informative look at the latter part of the band's career. His handling of the loss of Neil Part was the most tasteful and tactful I've read. This series makes me miss my favorite band even more.

Livro usado?

RUSH : The Clock Winds Down
After the keyboard experiments of the'80s,Rush moves back towards guitar, bass & drums. Synths are slowly replaced by big bass chords from Geddy and textural fretwork from Alex.Through the years & subsequent records, nods are made to down-tuned, plodding grunge and "no guitar solos" fads. There is also a quirky, noisy, fun EP of cover tunes. Essentially, there's a cycle of "album/tour/LIVE album from the tour" established from the'90s through the band's final album, the majestic Clockwork Angels. At one point, the band practically ends as Neil Peart copes with crushing loss and begins five years of both grief & healing.Finding their way back to the concert stage,Rush plays to one of their biggest crowds ever in Rio.In 2015, Lee, Lifeson and Peart do a 40th anniversary tour of North American cities. It is rumoured to be their last tour, and, as he waves " Goodbye" in Los Angeles,Neil has clearly made up his mind.Alas, all speculation is pointless.Tragedy visits Rush yet again when Neil Peart passes away in January,2020.Driven is the last book in Martin Popoff's thorough "Across The Decades" trilogy. I found it an emotional read, since I knew the sad ending beforehand. The pacing of the narrative,as well as many interviews with band members and those close to them make for an excellent read.

A great story about a great band!
I loved this book, like I loved the other two books! It was a great read and a good way to end RUSH! Their story is so much different than other groups. I am a guitar player and I wish I would have read this in my twenties. I might have looked at things differently. The way Rush did things is the way to do it! A great book about a one of a kind band.

A MUST if you are RUSH fan
If you have the ANTHEM and LIMELIGHT books by Martin Popoff you will know how these are written and DRIVEN is very similar, It's a great read and insight into the later albums and state of the band before and after Neil Peart's family tragedies. A thoroughly enjoyable read and easy to get through in a couple of sittings. Another to add to the list if yo uare a RUSH fan.
