Many years ago, I bought a crystal file in a gift shop in Hawaii. I loved it. Sadly, last year I dropped it and the point broke off. I have bought several online since then, and they were all terrible - the surface didn't last and would end up smooth as glass. I bought these, and they don't wear out. They can get a little gunked up, but I just wash them with soap and water and they're good as new. The case to protect them is great, too.

I grew up knowing only of metal and of sandpaper nail files. Glass files just didn't exist. My nails have always been fragile. At least 10 yrs ago, I finally opted to simply use good quality nail clippers on them, rather than the harsh old school type file. That changed due to the advice of a schoolmate/retired pedicurist....who insisted that I obtain a glass nail file, which I begrudgingly did. I am SO glad I listened to him. I LOVE the Bona Fide Czech crystal nail files!!! I liked my first one so much, that I got additional ones, so as to have them handy not only on the go, but in various rooms of my home. Please, take my word.....don't even consider trying to save money by purchasing an off brand. It's just not worth the time & frustration, seriously. Each side of a Bona Fide nail file is refined, and files one's nails gently and with NO ragged edges. So many other files, ugh.....you may think you're coming away with smooth edges but if you examined your nails closer, you'll see the difference. These Czech crystal nail files leave your nails in better condition.

There is nothing better than a good glass nail file for a manicure. These are in the good category! The surface is etched, not glued on, and the Czech glass are known to be high quality. These files feel so smooth when using them that I could see myself taking down more length than I meant to because they feel like they're gliding. These come with nice cases to protect them in a purse or bag, as well.My favorite thing about this set, though, is the COLOR. The entire file is cobalt blue, not just the handle area. It just looks so stunning when you take it out to use it - even though I don't make a habit of filing my nails in public, the color makes ME happy.

I had another glass nail file but it came in a small little plastic sheath and it was easy to misplace. I was so excited to find these. I just got them today and not a moment too soon. My nails needed a trim and this nail file is perfect. I love that I can file in a back and forth motion and no breaks. I have very thin nails so I need all the help I can get when attempting to keep them at the length I like.The 2 pack is very convenient. I have one case in my purse and the other with my nail polishes. The case top seems to go on tight enough that it won’t open in my purse. The blue color allows me to find the file easier too.

I’ve used glass nail files for several years now, and these are the best I’ve found. They do my nails gently and smoothly.What I like best about this brand is the protective case. It’s blue, like the file, making it easy to find, but most importantly, it stays closed tightly, which most of the other brands do not. This is good for the one I carry in my purse, as well as the ones I rummage through in my drawers.I have replaced my other files with this brand.......it’s the best.

Pretty sharp. Do a good job of filing down quickly. Also they are a nice color. I'd give 5 stars but people would think the review was forced or fake. I bought them for my wife, but I use them periodically. Pretty cheap too. Might just get my own. Probably not, but I might.

Files are elegant and suitable as a small, flight-friendly gift.Also, the filing properties of Czech Glass are unique, durable, and reliable.I even like the name of the Company -"Bona Fide" = in good faith. Great Latin expression.

I like the Bona Fide nail files in general, but these are the best of the best. They have a finer grit than most of their other files, so they are less aggressive and can be used to touch up or finish your nails. Two things I don’t like about the “unicorn” files: they are too thick, and fingernail filings stand out on the dark color. (Fortunately the dust rinses off easily.) I hope the company can come up with a thinner file and more suitable colors. In spite of that, these are the best files I have ever used.

I bought these as a replacement for my well-loved Nail Tek Crystal file (which are hard to find). These are very similar and just as effective. They come in a solid plastic case which is identical to the Nail Tek case, which protects well against being dropped. The 'grit' is slightly coarser than the Nail Tek file, it feels slightly different to use but works just as well.Once you use a glass nail file, you'll never go back to emery boards.I highly recommend these, the quality is great and the price is exceptional!Update:Having used these for a while now I actually prefer the coarser grit of these to that of the NailTek.I've also dropped both this and the NailTek file on my tile floors a couple of times and they're still in perfect condition. I've even used them on false glue-on nails and they still work just as well.If your file starts to feel a little dull, give it a wash with soap and water and it'll be like brand new.Love these!

I've had one of these before and wanted a few more to keep in other places (work, handbag, and a spare). All just as great as my first one which is still going strong. I broke a nail from roughly 1cm length to under 5mm length and was able to file down all my nails down to match in about an hour using these files.Very easy to clean and maintain, very fine grit, the hard case is very durable, a lot more gentle on your nails than disposable or metal files.

The item arrived promptly and as described. A very good price. I love this nail file and will not go back to using any other type. This is my second purchase so that I have one handy in different places. Can thoroughly recommend. My nails are in better condition and the file is gentle and strong at the same time....try it!

Wished I knew about these nail files sooner. They're brilliant. I couldn't get my nails looking nice for years, kept splitting and peeling from using emery boards. The difference is remarkable.
