Q: Do you nail it under the shingle tabs? How much zinc should hang out from under the tab if that's the case?

Just a few nails are necessary to hold in place and let it hang out about 1- 1 1/2" out bottom edge of shingle. It should work well !!

Q: How might this be secured to a roof with concrete tiles?

Probably could glue it with pl500 slde up under shingle coarse

Q: Sikaflex told me their 1a elastomeric sealant is "incompatible long term" with the asphalt in shingles, and will eventually work loose. suggestions?

By the time that happens it will be time to get a new roof I slipped 1” under a course of shingles exposing 2 1/2” of zinc put a 1/2 “ pressure bend in the zinc to make it rigid results are slow but I think it’s making a difference

Q: Can this be used as flashing behind a Gutter?

its a little thin for that but might work. usally we recommed are .027 soft for flashing
