Impakt Tools pocket hole screws were designed for the maximum in holding power. Asymmetric threads are formed to make the screw harder to pullout and spinout in the material you are joining. Washer head holds tight and resists pulling into the bottom of the pocket hole. A type 17 self-drilling tip makes the screw easier to drive and to reduce the chance of splitting. From the Manufacturer The Impakt Tools 2-1/2 inch #10 coarse thread pocket hole screws are perfect for use in soft woods like Spruce, Pine, Fir and Cedar and manufactured materials like plywood, particle board and MDF. The screws are zinc plated to help keep the screws rust free. All Impakt Tools screws feature a deep #2 square drive, self-drilling tip, zinc finish and case hardened for maximum strength.

The #10 Impakt screw works fine in the standard pocket hole and are not easy to break off.
Pro...I am a pocket hole novice and on my first real use of the Kreg pocket hole screws I had the problem of breaking the screw right at the point where the threads start. The Kreg pocket hole screw is a #8. I came across the Impakt tools pocket hole screw and it is a #10. I decided to give them a try. The #10 x 2.5" Impakt pocket hole screw solved my dilemma. The screw worked just fine in the standard pocket hole.Con...The Impakt screws are a little pricey at 7.5 cents on Prime a piece but they did solve my issue. The #10 x 2.5" seems to be the only Impakt pocket hole screw that comes in a #10. I would like to see the larger, beefier screw across the pocket hole line.

These work great, and they're cheaper than and just as nice as the Kreg brand screws, and much better than the knock off pocket hole screws I can get locally. They're a little thicker than the Kreg screws (#10 vs. #8 for the Kreg), but the washer is the same size, so they fit perfectly in the pocket. The only thing I prefer about the Kreg screws is that they come in a reusable box; these come in a cardboard box. But that's what peanut butter jars are for.

Screw head does not match standard bits
I usually buy Kreq brand screws and have had zero problems with them, but I thought I'd give these a try. What a mistake. None of my square drive bits would fit the screw head. I then tried the same set of square drive bits with the Kreg screws and had no problems. Would not recommend these screws.

Why pay more.
I wish I would have found these sooner. Quite a savings and the quality is just as good as Kreg. I received a personalized message from the owner of the company. I think this personal touch is great and missing in other companies.

It’s ok, but could be a bit better priced. I have the impakt pocket jig which is great and offered more bang for the buck, but I think they keep it up with the prices for their screws.

These seem to be the same quality of name brand. I have used and I am happy with it.
