These actually worked great, for heavy, long, thick hair, which was a pleasant surprise. They seem sturdy enough and didn’t hurt my head or pull my hair at all. Very pleasant surprise!!

These hair clips are an interesting concept. I have long, thick hair. These held my ponytail, but very loosely. It was ok for wearing around the house, but not secure enough for working out.I also tried using these in a bun. Again, it just didn't provide a firm enough hold on its own. However, when I used a hair tie around the bun first, this was quite useful to keep all the stray hairs in.These are cute and have a specific use, but they may not work for those with thin hair -- or even for some styles with thick hair.

I was able to get this to work in a low bun. It didn't hold my hair in a ponytail. So many of the photos show a ponytail and I don't think any will stay for more than a minute. The blue is pretty. Kinda snagged my hair.

I had my package of these bird nest clips sitting out where family could see them when they all came over for dinner. Big mistake! The women of all ages immediately wanted to try them on and I even had to take them away from those younger ones who thought they were some kind of squeeze toy. End result is I only have the one that was in my hair at the time remaining. They happily took the rest. For me personally with my thinner slick hair, the birds nest design won't hold a pony tail. It just slides out. Perfect for a twisted bun, though, and stays in all day with pulling and without needing any pins to hold it up.The set was a nice selection of colors, but I wish there had been a red and solid black and also some with a matte finish and not so shiny.

These clips are really unique - they allow you to put your hair into a bun very easily. I just made a braid and kind of put it in a circle and added the clip. I love the colors. I love how they open up large and fit your hair inside. You do have to be very careful to attach it to the hair outside of the clip. Holds securely and looks very nice! 4 Stars. I want to love these. I don't have thin hair, but it is fine and doesn't hold a curl. I tried doing a ponytail and a bun. I got so frustrated because if I moved my head the slightest bit, it started to fall out. I can see where our thick haired friends would love this but for the girls like me, you should pass.

These are nicely made hair clips. Colors true to picture. I have a lot of hair but it is fine. These clips do not hold strongly on fine hair. If I want it to stay in place I need to use rubber bands on my hair first then place this over the hair band. So it is good if you have coarser thick hair or if you just want to cover a hair tie.
