These have just the right level of abrasiveness to be effective, but they don't tear up your hands like a wire brush. They also have no bristles to break off and end up in your food.If you aren't familiar with scrub daddy products, they are unique sponges that are reasonably firm at room temperature, but with heat (hot water) get softer. I use these on a heated grill by starting with a soaking of cold water and begin scrubbing. Initially, the cold sponge is firmer and more aggressive to remove chunks, but as it heats up from the grill it gets softer and ends up being more of a steam cleaner / polisher of the grill grates.No soap needed or left behind. Doesn't remove the finish from your grates (ceramic, chrome, or whatever).To clean just run it under warm water and squeeze the water out a few times and it looks like new again.

This is the most Awesome grill brush Ever!! My husband Loves it! We bought it as a gift for my Brother-in-law who loves to grill. He Loves it! Sadly we have not been able to always get the refill for the grill brush. But really! This thing is fantastic! Just add some water to it & done! Best easy clean Ever! I swore to get rid of the steel ones after some steel broke down off our brush into my food! But I really did'nt think they'd clean well. Well! This one does! If you can find it, Get it!

I've owned many grill brushes, and this one is superior! Simply dip the brush in water and put it on your hot grill grates and it will clean them so they look new. The only reason I had to order this replacement is my dog chewed up my first one.

Saw a targeted ad for these one day and figured I’d try it out. It really makes cleaning the grill a breeze, leaving it cleaner than with other brushes. Will continue to buy the refills for grilling season.

This is the best grill brush I have ever used. The steam action cleans the grill grates exceedingly well. I especially like the fact that there are no wire bristles that could come off and be ingested with my grilled food; bristle ingestions is a know dangerous situation caused by wire bristle brushes. The brush head does come off for cleaning but cleaning the brush head is somewhat difficult, it seems best to put the brush head in the dishwasher then allow it to dry outside in the sun if possible. I do recommend this brush.

Overall I think this is a decent grill water brush. It definitely can get the water on the grill and it can clean the top of the grates. But I need another brush to get between the grates to keep it nice and clean.My first one I rip through in 3 grill uses/ cleanings. I think I may have been too rough.The second I had for about 7 grill uses/ cleanings and I have a little tear. So far it has been about 5-6 weeks. I would probably say 8-10 uses /cleanings. It is a Sponge on the inside so it is supposed to be replaced.

Over the years, I have gone through all kinds of brushes to clean all my grill grates. This one stands out and is by far the best one I've used.
