First time I got it, I had to return it as it did not come with the screws, instructions, or the screwdriver.It comes in pieces - you have to build it yourself but the instructions are clear and concise. It fits well in a small space due to the shape ( can partially fit under a bed as it's on an angle). If your cat scratches it, you can turn it several ways to give them a fresh place to scratch. Well worth the price.

Assembly isn't really hard, unless you have arthritis or some kind of problem with your hands. There are no predrilled holes in the cardboard which doesn't make it necessarily hard, just the pushing and screwing in made my hands hurt and I had to get one of my boys to help finish. He even got tired! I don't think it is necessarily the cardboard as much as it is due to the pilot hole size in the 'wood'. ???***We had one bolt that was stripped and had to leave sticking out a bit.Otherwise, nice item. Sturdy for cats. My kitten is learning to use it and so far so good.

Easy to put together. It does move around during play, but my kittens find that fun. Ours didn't come with a ball (not sure it was supposed to).

Every time I try to show a video of my cats using this they stopped... I title this "slow to warm" up because our cats really haven't been enamored by this... even though I love the way it's made, I love the easy assembly also. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about is the smell and my hunch is that the "fishy cardboard" smell might be off-putting (Yes I did say fishy and yes they are cats and yes they're not attracted to the fishy cardboard smell! LOL)I have been refreshing the scratcher every couple of days with new rubs of catnip and silver vine.I often will put toys on the top ledge just to attract them up and over. And I have put treats up there also.Scratching has been minimal, though again I think it's potentially our cats. I think like a lot of toys with cats, it takes them time to warm up to some of them.If it changes dramatically I'll update this review when it does.

Liked that this was easy to put together and even included a screwdriver in assemble it.

It’s cardboard so temporary fun but the cats love cardboard toys and also enjoyed the little ball. It has lasted for a while too.

The screw are thick but still, there are 18 of them. I didn't expect that.My cat loves cardboard scratchers, and he loves scratching vertical cardboard surfaces (e.g. tall boxes). It's taking a week or so, but he is finally expressing interest in this post. I like that you can rotate it and get lots of use out of it.
