Postbox MED SS

I wanted to replace my old, wobbly mailbox with something cool. That was harder than expected with 99% of all mailboxes being black... or black. You might find a plain, white, plastic one at Home Depot, but none of them were interesting. If I was going to replace my mailbox, I was going to go for the upgrade.Spira makes one of the only stainless steel mailboxes I found, and they are, by far, the best looking. It felt a little retro 50s to me, and reminded me a bit of an Airstream. Looks like this has gone up in price since I purchased, but if you want to improve your curb appeal, this is a great way to do it for a few hundred bucks. Everything looks great, the door is actually a magnet (no latch), and it looks super cool. The only downside is you end up wanting to clean it to keep it looking new.

I purchased this mailbox a few months ago and had it all lettered up with our name and address on it and installed it.About a week or two later I got an official notification from our Postmaster that the Mailbox is not postal approved and does not meet US Postal standards! They say it is TOO SMALL! I now have had 3 more letters from the Postmaster and they will stop delivering mail to my residence on June 15th! I have contacted SPIRA the manufacture TWICE about it and it's size and they have refused to contact me back or even acknowledge me at all!I have close to $300.00 invested in the mailbox and lettering and I am JUST OUT THAT MONEY!Don't get me wrong it is a beautiful, well built mailbox and I love it But, the Postmaster does not love it!!DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON BUYING THIS MAILBOX TILL THEY FIX IT!!
