Real quality - at a very low price point for what you get.
When I opened it, the smell of cedar was just right. I had purchased extra cedar planks for the break in period, and 82% Boveda bags. Didn’t really need the extra cedar. It’s very quiet and went from 75 degrees to 65 in about 2-3 hours, where it has stayed. I have a couple other (non electrical) humidors. In Michigan the humidity and temperature can change at the drop of a hat.Boveda bags keep humidity simple, but do nothing for temperature. I’m hoping the heating element works as well as it cools. I was most concerned with sticks getting over 70 degrees however, not to worried about them getting cold- as the house is never below 65.It’s well made, about the size of a large computer tower. Not imposing. Found it referred to in numerous non-Amazon searches as an ideal quality unit for 150 sticks. The case light at the top is all but useless, as it only lights the top sticks. There is the concern of mixing too many types of sticks together and the flavors blending. This hasn’t been a problem in my other humidors unless I unwrapped sticks mixed together. I did that purposely with 2 brands and aged them that way for 2 years to infuse them with each other. The results - meh. Best to buy top sticks.Great buy so far. Will update if anything fails…. ENJOY !

Keeps steady temperature
Theis 33 L Needone unit is thermoelectric and does a great job regulating, and keeping steady temperatures. I keep it at 69 degrees F and my (3) Hygrometers agree! I love that it is wider (easier access to the back) than some cabinets and therefore the shelves and drawer don't have as much weight on them when pulled out to access the cigars in the back of the unit. It only took 3 days to season and as of now (1 month later) the cedar aroma is very prevalent. I had a little issue with maintaining humidity levels but soon discovered that the surrounding humidity does affect the % in the unit. Since then I stopped using the water reservoir and am staying with 2 way bovida packs. I also love that I can fit 2 full unopened boxes in the bottom drawer and still have both shelves for singles. I have some coronas and a few petite singles, but mostly smoke Churchills so you won't get 250 capacity as stated if you have Churchills. You probably want to keep flavors separate as I have a few flavored cigars unboxed and when I open the door the aroma is very evident. So I assume the cigar flavors would merge if stored in close proximity. Although, that may not be a bad thing! I have an Ann Bully cedar glass top that holds my day to day stock so I don't access this unit often but I really love it!

Extremely bad. Plastic and chemicals smells.
This thing reeks and I mean seriously reeks of plastic, i had to buy an odor remover called ofer goblin. It did take the extremely potent plastic smell away however now i am trying to get rid of the chlorine dioxide smell. This is a pretty horrible product. The temp works. The humidity holds great. But all that is pointless if strong dangerous odors are present.

Better than a wine fridge. Still drops humidity too much when it cools.
In order to keep humidity above 65% I have to keep TWO small dishes of water in the bottom. That's because it sucks so much humidity out of the air when it cools, and I have to keep it under 78 to avoid cigar beetles. I wish additional box drawers weren't so expensive or available at all.But overall it does its job of keeping the enclosure below 77*. That's the major difference between a wine fridge and this one. This one has a higher temp range appropriate for cigars, wine fridges only go up to 65 or 67.

Not maintaining Correct Temperature Control
I’ve had this 23L Needone since January of 2025. It has developed temperature control issues beginning in early March of 2025. The temperature goes up about 4-5 degrees from a set point of 69F to 73-74F lowering my Humidity causing my Govee Alarms to go off. I pull the plug and wait 10 secs and that works for another 4/5 days and the temperature goes up again. I’ve Contacted Needone for a 2nd time and hoping they warranty it. I’ve got a 26l KingChii purchased almost 1 1/2 years ago and it never has had any temperature issues. Will update this review when I hear back. To much invested in Cigars for it to be going out of whack. It was Seasoned Correctly and I have the drain plug covered like others have stated to do on Forums. Also Govee has been Salt Test Calibrated…Hoping I just got a bad egg and they will make good on replacing it.UPDATE: After a few trouble shooting emails,Needone sent me a new Unit. I changed the review to a 5 Star. Appreciate the Customer Sevice! 5⭐️’s

GREAT "SECOND" HUMIDOR!
The media could not be loaded. So I just started my cigar journey earlier this year, and like most beginner's I purchased your typical desktop humidor that holds 20-25 sticks. I had no problems with that but as time progressed, My collection started growing and growing so I needed more room, and that's where this beauty comes in. I recently purchased the NEEDONE 16L thermoelectric humidor 2 weeks ago, and it's PERFECT for where I'm at on my cigar journey. Big enough to hold 100 sticks "EASY" I was impressed by how quiet this thing is, and how easy it was to set up.. Basically it's self explanatory.. JUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS! As far as the "PLASTIC SMELL" you read about in some reviews.. the only smell my humidor had was the Spanish Cedar Wood that's inside. As far as the accuracy on the hydrometer.. AFTER seasoning the humidor like the directions said, I used two Boveda packs (72%) and that's exactly what my hydrometer reads so if the hydrometer is off, it can't be by too much because when I seasoned it with the water tray included, it got up to 85 percent.. I went with the packs to regulate the humidity, and it's doing just that! As far as any regrets, the only thing I regret is getting the thermoelectric version (heating and cooling) because so far I have no need for the heating feature, and I could've gotten a bigger size with just "cooling" for the same price, but this is why I say that this is a great "SECOND" humidor for those who are new to the cigar world. I highly recommend this for beginners who are serious about cigar smoking, but don't plan on having hundreds of sticks at a time!
