It's my go-to trowel when I'm not sure what size will work best and it never disappoints
the notch pattern makes it difficult on the narrow top, but if you use the long side, it works incredibly! It's my go-to trowel when I'm not sure what size will work best and it never disappoints.

Useful but goes rusty
Because it is high carbon steel, not Stainless steel this otherwise excellent tool goes rusty if not dried after cleaning. For a few extra cents in material cost for stainless the manufacturer devalued an otherwise excellent tool. I suggest after washing/cleaning ,dip it in diesel and allow to drip dry .

Nice notched trowel but thinner metal then i would prefer
I've been setting tile for over 25 years, and this trowel is great for large format tile. I've owned multiple of this exact same notched trowel, from different manufacturers, and because this particular trowel blade is thinner, and less hard of a metal then all my other trowels, the notches tend to wear away quicker then all my other thinset trowels. This notch is similar to a 1/2"×1/2" notched trowel. Great trowel, just wears away kinda quickly because it's not a very hard metal, and metal is thinner then other professional trowels.

Jury is out.
After reading multiple tiling forums, and having zero experience with tiling, I bought this to install 12x12" granite tiles. It's frustrating that this size of tiles "sort of" constitutes a large format tile; the use for which this trowel is suited. Perhaps with more experience, this trowel would rock but so far, it's creating mixed results. The tiles are not ending up even - lippage I think is the term. It could be that my granite tiles are truely not large format, and so this trowel is not properly suited. The trowel is of good quality and easy to clean.

Rusted after 1 use
Used it one time and it rusted. Not a good trowel.
