Has that nice seagrass smell coming out of the sturdy box it is shipped in. The basket is woven around a metal frame (i.e., rods) so it is nicely shaped, not crooked or asymmetrical in any way. All the products from this company are very attractive and nicely made. Definitely a good price, and I anticipate this will continue to look nice for years. Goes great with a coastal themed room! It does come with a rigid clear plastic liner which unfortunately was crushed inside (I think someone at the warehouse stacked these things up and jammed another one down into this one). (Very nice to have a liner for sanitation and ease of cleaning, even if you use small waste basket plastic liner bags from the grocery store as I do.) I sent an email to Customer Service as listed on the manufacturer's flyer which was enclosed with the item. Within minutes I got a response offering to send a full replacement free of charge.
