Almost perfect . . .
I bought this rig to do shrimp boils in. It works great for that, except for one thing. The basket that goes in the stock pot sits about three inches off the bottom of the pot. I suppose that works great for steaming, but not so great for boiling. This arrangement requires you to add an additional 2.5 gallons of water before your food even touches water. I wasn't sure how that affected the recipe and whether I needed to add more spice to go along with the extra water. Looking at the manufacturers website, it appears the basket from the 44 qt kit would work with the 36 qt stock pot, but they don't offer that set-up in a package. This kit works, and my first shrimp boil was delicious, but I would have rather the basket went all the way to the bottom. BTW, the burner works great. It brought probably 6-7 gallons of water up to a hard boil in about 20 minutes.

Great steamer and works like a champ!
We borrowed a steamer from a friend to use before we went to get one ourselves... theirs was nice and got the job done, but reviews of it were mediocre (theirs is about 5-6 years old)... some loved it, others didn't. Seemed to be quality control issues more than anything, so I went on a search. The other part I did not like was that the basket sat too low and some of the lower crabs were somewhat in the water instead of above it.So I began to look and found the Bayou Classic... looked nice, price was great, and had good reviews... so it was ordered! We have since used it a handful of times and it works like a charm. The one feature that is great is the basket sits on a lip and keeps it a good 5" off the bottom... room for plenty of water/ vinegar/ beer mix to sit well below your food to be steamed properly.Result? Best crabs, shrimp, and corn we've had. It was easy to assemble, set the flame, and overall use and keep clean. Also with the lip I am able to turn the basket upside down in the pot when I am drying it off and stack the lid on top.... beats having to lay it down somewhere or always on something to air dry.So I definitely recommend it and I can see it giving many years of service without an issue.

201 stainless steel not 304
I am giving this a 4 star instead of 5, all though I should give it a 3 star for not mentioning anywhere that this is 201 stainless steel not 304. 201 is more prone to rust than 304 and seeing how I live on the gulf coast I might have ponied up and bought the more expensive pot. Now I understand why this set up was 150$ vs 200$ for other set up I was looking at. But other than that I really like the stirring stick and like the bottle opener attached to it. Nice touch.

Great for a boil.
We've used this for several boils and it heats up at a normal pace. It is large enough to feed 5 or more people and was very easy to assemble and disassemble. The only knock, the pot is as large as it says it is, you can't very well bring that pot into a normal sink, so cleaning it is best done somewhere outdoors.

Love it. Simple and easy.
Love it. New to this type of cooking but this has great controls for the flame, boils a lot of water fairly quick, ive done 3 low country boils in the past month and it has proven to be a great way to feed lots of people. I learned a nice trick and you can coat the metal that gets flame contact with dawn soap and it wont burn/blacken the pot and frame! Only downside was they sent the wrong size nut for the burner assembly and i had to run to the hardware store for a 20 cent nut

Works well
Used it this weekend. Works well. Easy to assemble, just need a Philips head screwdriver and a wrench. Water came to rolling boil in about 30 minutes on a somewhat windy day. Water returns to rolling boil in about a minute after adding food. Cooker arrived in 4 days and there was no damage to to the pot or anything else. Gas line and connections all work well. A+++

Bit thin but works
Have used this a few times now. Including for frying a turkey. Don't let the pictures of burn through scare you...they are just idiots using the pot empty. (And I can prove that scientifically)I only take issue with the thinness because it is easier to dent. Otherwise I love this little feller.

Perfect size and great materials.
I bought it for a Christmas Eve crab boil. It heated up very quickly and did a great job with a lot of crab. Was easy to clean. Wish I had owned one a long time ago. Next comes lobster and will try a deep fried turkey too.
