Bright Eyes: A Kunoichi Tale (Seasons of the Sword)

I was first attracted to the Season of the Sword Series as I learnt Japanese from childhood and lived in Japan and worked for Japanese companies. The books have not disappointed - not only is it a fantastic series of novels for Japanophiles but the main character, "Risuko" is admirable and relatable human being. Wow, what a page turner. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. Risuko has to be one of my favorite female main characters of all time. Can't say enough good things about this book.

This is so well written and such an original story. It's easy reading and I had a difficult time putting the book down before I reached the ending. Excellent!

Came in great condition

This is the sequel to Risuko and is a wonderful follow up. The development of the characters is very well done. You don’t need a knowledge of Japanese culture to understand the story, but there is plenty of added material to let you pursue that if you wish.I recommend this for Middle School on up . As an adult, it kept me connected and interested all the way through.

It appears I need to read in the young adult section, because I really enjoyed this story. Risuko (the main character) comes to life on these pages and the mystery kept me involved. What a delightful book!
