I have a 30 oz. Tervis double-walled stainless steel tumbler and actually the lid that came with it was almost perfect with a good clicking in latch but it had the tiny vent hole so it wasn't spill-proof enough for me to put in my bag. I can keep a travel mug upright in there, but it will slosh around and liquid comes out. So what I was doing was using a plastic sticky-note type round tab to cover the hole to make it seal more but it still wasn't always secure. I had looked around at third-party lids here on Amazon.ca a few years ago and never found the right one, even though my Bubba travel mugs had the type of lid that covers the vent hole when the latch is in place so it could easily be made. Now that I read the other reviews, I see why these companies have designed it so that the hole is never covered - people don't seem to understand that to prevent steam build-up, you can just leave it unlatched a bit at first. But I can handle this, so the lid is perfect. The fact that it seals "too well" is not a problem! I would have enjoyed a lime green latch but the blue is not too bad in person and is actually more attractive than the main picture since it is more of a light aqua colour. I was considering the pink which I could have ordered for a lower price without the straws, but the decision was made for me because the blue one could come the next day instead of a couple of couple of days. The blue looks different in the various photos so I'm glad it turned out to be light aqua. Like a pastel colour. I also have a wide Yeti mug and the lids fit that too. And I had a magslider lid which some random other shopper in a store told me hers was spill proof and empatically recommended it while I was looking at one and it is totally not (and wasn't ever meant to be) so it will be great for that too. Of course, the nature of the non-threaded tumbler and Yeti is that you shouldn't "toss" it into a bag the way you can with a threaded top, but it is a tradeoff with it being more pleasant drink out of when the lid is off. I might buy more if the colours are right. Every travel mug has some issue but my Tervis is now, with the help of this lid, almost my dream mug for most occasions and one of my bottles can be used if I need to really have something that's tumbling around in a bag or that I want a handle on. This product has dramatically increases the functionality of two of my mugs.

The lid fits perfectly and the cap seals so you can't spill and it holds the heat in better.

I am very happy with these lids, they fit tighter than the original lid that came with my cup!! Due to a disability I can’t lift my cup to drink so I use the straw. I have not spilled drinks on me or the floor, the lids have not leaked so what else can I say..this lid/straw are great. Also, cleaning the straw is easier than one might think. Have hot water running then run brush through both ends, that simple. You won’t be disappointed with this product.

I have had a number of lids over the years but not one that is truly leak proof. Now - I've only used it for a good week but it hasn't leaked once - even when it tipped over in my bag.
