Ossur Formfit Ankle (Figure 8, Medium)

I'm recovering from posterior tibial tendonitis, and I need a good ankle brace for support during some types of physical therapy and for whenever I can't avoid spending an extended time on my feet. Based on the description in this listing and some of the comments, I was hopeful this would be the one; unfortunately, I was wrong. The brace has a hard rubber component, about 1 inch wide and perhaps 3/16 thick, running under the arch of the foot. Putting any amount of weight on that foot is very painful, more or less like stepping on a rock bare-footed. I couldn't take more than a few steps wearing it and certainly could not have walked any distance with it on. So I decided to return the brace, only to find that the seller does not accept returns. The listing (at least as of today) does not mention this, and when I called Amazon to ask for help, they said there was nothing they could do for me. I'll keep fighting this and will post an update if I get anywhere, but please beware if you're considering trying this brace. It's quite uncomfortable, even painful, to walk on, and if you buy it, you own it -- no returns accepted.

Nowhere on the product page does it say that this product is NOT returnable. Sadly, I am stuck with a $33 product that I cannot wear. I ordered this product for my foot drop problem. I have a wide foot. Despite the heel to instep measurement, when laced, the top of the brace is very tight and restrictive cutting off blood flow. There is no way to loosen this part of the brace, as it is designed to fit snugly on the narrower part of your heel/instep. This restriction was when I was at rest in my recliner. I wouldn't even want to think about how tight this brace would have been when my foot was flattened and wider from weight bearing and walking. Now, afterwards, I read the reviews to find that others have had this problem with no refunds, to which Amazon has done nothing about. I've looked high and low on this product page, looking for something somewhere that says, "No Returns". Nada! I understand why customers cannot return this product - but please make that statement perfectly clear!

This worked great for 3 weeks. Very comfortable. It was recommended by my podiatrist. Suddenly when I was putting it on today, one of the Velcro straps ripped right off. I would not recommend buying this product to only have it last for 3 weeks.

When I used the sizing chart for this product it showed that I should order a Medium. When I received the product in the Medium size it is way way way too small and almost looks like it would be for a woman vs male user. When I attempted to return the product, which was received on 1/16/22 today is 1/29/22 is shows that it is not eligible for return. What a sham as I now have this product that is way too small and cannot utilize it. I will update this post once if ever I receive a proper size product which based on what I received should be an XL. Buyer be ware when dealing with this company for now

The hooks on this brace are too short and the laces do not stay on them. You will end up with laces falling out from the bottom of your pant leg and the brace losing stability. Then as an added bonus you will not be able to return the item. I purchased this 9 days ago and cannot return it so I am just out of luck. Do yourself a favor and just don't buy it in the first place.

They are chaining the manufacturing process which is causing issues for this brace to fail.. The inside portion that connects with Velcro to the top comes lose after a few uses and needs to be taken to a shoe shop to be fixed. Earlier versions didn't have this problem. Some Manufacturing Manager made the decision to save a few dollars my changing this process. No one at Ossur is providing adequate testing for the units when they relieved them from China 100%Every unit will need to be taken to a shoe store to be fixed after a couple of uses.

This does not give a solid support for ankles and is not speedlace. NOT returnable for any reason. Don’t buy. Trying to lace it neatly and theraputicallyis difficult. Its does not keep the ankle from moving side to side. I have an ankle sprain/strain but this does not keep it in good alignment.

Tried this item on for a whole 5 seconds and realized it was too big but can’t exchange for a smaller size. Basically just threw money out the window. When it’s too big there is no stabilization and it’s useless. As another buyer said, you are better off buying local or finding a seller who offers returns/exchanges.
