Q: Will it cut an 8.5 x 11 card stock? I would to for example to put a green piece of 8.5 x 11 card stock filled with assorted leaf dies.

No this machine will not cut 8.5 x 11 inch cardstock. I have the Anna Griffin Empress cutting machine with the 5 x 7 plates and the 7 x 12 plates. Since a piece of paper is 8.5 inches is larger than 7 inches it would need to be cut to 7 inches to fit the larger plates. the largest plate cuts 7 x 12. I bought the machine and plates for the larger cards and dies from Anna Griffin.
