MANY times a quart bag is too small; a gallon bag is too big. These are a must-have for me. They should be sold in stores.

I have been using these bags for about 15 years, They are a rectangle with an expandable bottom that makes a real difference when filling with liquids, leftovers and to send home wth friends and a myriad of kitchen and pantry uses. My favorite thing is that they’re much easier to open than most other (even in the Ziploc Line) and to closed easily. Especially great for older hands, and people with painful hands or loss of grip strength.Did I mention that they’re ideal for travel… a long tooth brush fits in well… yes because of that rectangular shae ! Theyre not to be used in freezer or microwave but the everyday business of storing , almost anything.They're marketed as marinade bags, but thats just the beginning. You will usethem in so many creative ways. And final point: they are so easy to open and close and are leakproof if the user is using proper amount of content.

This size/style of Ziplock bags can be hard to find in stores. I was glad to find them on Amaxon for a reasonable price.

I love the 1/2 gallon size bags. Even though these are marinade bags they work great when needing only 1/2 gallon size. I have so many times when gallon bags are too big; and quart size is too small. Why aren't 1/2 gallon bags more available??? I sure wish ziplock would make more 1/2 gallon size!! I use these alot and can never find them; even on Amazon they are always out of stock.

I was actually looking for the half gallon bags and found these. Hoping they will serve the same purpose as I love my Ziplock bags. Great for those small things you want to protect.

When a “Sandwich” or “Quart” is to small and a “Gallon” is to big, this 1/2 gallon is just perfect. Good for almost anything, has wide flat bottom, nice for marinating. However, economical not really!!! Not until they produce on a much larger quantity.

I bake a Czechoslovakian Christmas Bread every year for my family and many friends. Even though the bread lasts for a long time, I wrap them in plastic wrap (Saran Wrap) and then place each loaf in your wide bottom storage bag. Any of your other bags do not allow enough room for the approximate the 4"x4"x4" loaf. I give out or mail about 15 loaves every year. This is the best size ziplock. They stand up if you want to throw in marinade or something liquid. The fit a pack of jumbo hotdogs, english muffins, things that are rectangular where the full gallon is wasted. Perfect
