You won't want to Mastering Her Senses. This should be your next romance read--HOT HOT HOT
I find writing reviews an extreme challenge and avoid them if at all possible. Every now and then a book comes along that I want everyone to know about and read. Mastering Her Senses is one of those books. If I had an abundance of money I would give the book to anyone that asked. Instead, I have to say, "You really need to read Mastering Her Senses." I realize this is considered an erotic romance, but there is so much more.I am not saying to read it just for the sex. Although the sex gets steamy hot. My mind exploded with visions of things I have never experienced or had knowledge existed. The author wrote it in details that left me excited to see what they would do next. There was no blushing. There was no negative feelings. I felt honored to learn without feeling wrong. The writing was a class act. What I am saying is that you should read it for Quinton and Cassia. Quinton may be a dominant but he has so much compassion. I found my self wanting to woo this man. The picture I have developed in my mind has me comparing him with the great sculptures that exist in museums. He isn't afraid to accept/admit when he has found his other half. All his fears of a relationship are gone because of Cassia. They aren't strangers when Quinton comes to her rescue at Blasphemy, an BDSM club. In fact two years prior she stood him up for a scene, or so he thought. Traumatized from what occurred, causing her to miss their appointment, has left her fearing the dark, fearing more. What good is a geologist that can't enter a cave??? She returns to Blasphemy in search of hope. In search of a solution.Quinton decides he will be her hope. He will make her feel safe. His compassion during the scenes is off the charts. His prep work shows how important her safety and emotional well being is to him. What makes Quinton my number one book boyfriend is his ability to accept responsibility in anything. The day he dropped everything to go "fix" a misunderstanding---OMG!!!! SWOON!!!!! Heart palpitations. Just WOW!!!Cassia and Quinton are perfect together. They can conquer and persevere. Together they can release their fears and move towards that Happily Ever After that we all seem to want in out romances.

Hot But A Little Superficial
FINAL DECISION: I liked these characters and they had a real hot read. My only complaint was the short length of the story combined with the emphasis on the sexual encounters between them left the emotional part of the story more superficial. I enjoyed the book.THE STORY: Cassia Locke has developed a phobia of the dark after an accident. She comes to Blasphemy to try and work through her fear. She ends up reconnecting with Blasphemy co-owner Quinton Ross. Quinton is a dominant who specializes in sensory deprivation. Several years ago, Cassia stood Quinton up. Their attraction, however, hasn't lessened in the interim. Now Quinton is willing to help Cassia overcome her phobia.OPINION: This was an enjoyable story, but the lack of emotional journey for the characters means that it isn't one that I will think to pick up again. There are some books that I enjoy without becoming connected to the story or the characters. This was a book that engaged me while I read it, but I thought the relationship between Cassia and Quinton was too superficial for me to want to take their journey again.Cassia and Quinton have a hot relationship. I really liked that the book focuses on Cassia and her phobia and her journey to finding peace again. (One thing I would have liked would have been some resolution on the results as to her job). There is a lot of focus on the hot scenes between Quinton and Cassia.Cassia is a woman seeking to regain control of her life after a cave-in which left her afraid of the dark. I really liked that Cassia is a woman who embraces her sexuality and is not shamed by her sexual experience or her desires. She might be the submissive in the relationship, but it is clear that she is an equal in the relationship. I liked her active and adventurous spirit. One scene is particular made me love Quinton. He cares for Cassia when she is sick. I think every woman could love a man who cares for her when she is sick. While I thought Cassia was very active in the story, in many ways Quinton is more reactive and responsive even as he is the Dom. I never felt that I connected with Quinton as a characters as much as I did Cassia.I enjoyed this book but wish that there was more of a conclusion regarding Cassia's phobia.WORTH MENTIONING: This book has a lot of graphic sex scenes.CONNECTED BOOKS: MASTERING HER SENSES is the second book in the Blasphemy series about a BDSM sex club. It is not necessary to read the others in the series to understand this one although there are overlapping characters.STAR RATING: I give this book 3 stars.

BDSM romance
Set in Blasphemy, the story of Cassia and Master Quinton. No plot spoilers. There are a few uncomfortable moments with flashbacks as the FL deals with a prior incident but they are well written and empathetic so should not prove to be a potential trigger.I have re-read this series a number of times and have no idea why I have not left feedback before but here we go.The book is well written with excellent characterisation, Master Quinton is a main character throughout the series and has been beautifully written. The FL is also so well developed she is totally believable. Supporting characters are described in depth with just enough words, there is nothing written that is a word filler. The author strikes the right balance of show and tell which makes the plot bubble along with pace. I only award five stars when the storyline, grammar and editing are spot on, for that reason I wish I could give 4.5 and not the four stars Kindle allow, and this is due to two or three odd bits of editing that jar the reader from the book but don't actually detract from the storyline. For this author, it's very unusual to have any errors at all. There are lots of hot sex scenes, all of them appropriate and consensual even if some are at the harsher end of the BDSM spectrum. It's a romance, with a HEA and excellent characterisation and I have no problem recommending the series.

Quinton and Cassia are really hot together!
Second book in the Blasphemy series with the BDSM club and 12 Masters. This book is based around Master Quinton, renown for his scenes involving sense-deprivation, and Cassia, who used to play at Blasphemy as a sub but hasn't since her caving accident left her with a paralyzing fear of the dark.I loved this couple, although Quinton didn't really come across as too much of a Master, he seemed to relaxed and nice for this - but I did thoroughly enjoy the story as Cassia tries to overcome her fears of the dark with Quinton's help. Again there are some really hot sexy scenes in here. I'm really liking these stories by Laura, and can't wait to read some more.

Fresh, fun, tender and hot
Another great story from Laura Kaye. I do like the background of the club Blasphemy and it's interesting mix of characters. It was a pleasure to read about Quinton and Cass, to see their relationship developing. His dedication to supporting her was beautiful and I liked that the gritty as well as the pretty aspects of life were included in the story. I have to commend some of the scenes too - hot, fun and unusual. Delightful.

Excellent story
I enjoyed this book even more than the one before. The sensory play was hot. And the part of the story away from the club was interesting... Who doesn't want to drive race cars... I am thinking Laura Kate is a can't stop reading author goddess.

Cassia and Quinton
I enjoyed this story about Cassia and Quinton but as the stories in this series are novella length, I do feel each couple falls for each other a bit too quickly but the sex scenes are well written and the Dom is always very caring of his submissive.
