This is a great selection of embroidery thread and a nice brand. I am a total newbie to embroidery and I just bought a Brother PE-770 machine and this works nicely in my machine. You will have to select the correct Madeira thread in the options for the settings but I have to issues with this thread. I like the case it comes in, although mine came a bit cracked and the peg that holds the handle was broke off, but my husband fixed that for me with a screw so it's useable again. It does list the color number and name of each thread inside the compartments. You also get a nice thread chart and a CD with free patterns on it. This was a great way for me to try out the Madeira rayon thread. This was the best buy I could find.

Madeira thread is the best on the market, in my opinion. I have a mid-range embroidery machine, and Madeira is the ONLY thread that runs smoothly 99% of the time without breaking or fraying. The colors are bright and vivid, and the thread is top quality. I love the fact that the box will feed 6 spools at a time, so it really saves time and helps me stay organized. It also has a wide variety of colors, so it would be especially good for someone just starting out. I LOVE it!!!!

I LOVE these Madeira threads and colors. I rarely stick to a suggested color pattern. I like to use my own creativity and this package of variety of color choices allows me to do this. Madeira is a great embroidery and sewing thread that I highly trust with my hand/home-made objects. Very well worth the price!

I like the thread & love the box for organizing the thread even though I have not had any luck using the box to hold the thread while I sew. I thought it would be great if I could set the thread up in the box so I could just pull from the box instead of having to change out the spool in the machine every time I change colors. I will try again to see if I can get that to work. Still, I love this product & would recommend it. I even bought similar boxes to store other spools of thread. The box may not hold as many spools as other boxes but it works for me. You can see all the spools at a quick glance & easy to grab. The handle makes for easy grab & go. Each section says what color it is so when you run out of that color you can restock. Makes it easy to put things back in their place to stay organized.

This is now my new favorite brand of embroidery thread. The brand in other places is more expensive, but pack was reasonably priced. Madeira does not break as much as sulky, brother, or thread art.

The colors are nice and smooth and locking thread spools. The box is fine, but not as useful as I'd hoped. It's cumbersome to use the three spool holders on the back when you are embroidering and best to just turn it around. I use an Se-400 and am fairly new to embroidering so I thought I would start with these to help ensure a good start. I've now purchased some Brother, ThreadArt, Embroidex, Threadelight, and ThreadNanny polyester threads with no visible difference. This is the set that I will go to when in need for a specific project, but will not use on a daily basis because it isn't cost effective. It has all the basic colors you would need to get started plus needles. The disc does have some free designs in multiple formats in their own folders, but the actual software is more like an add. Comes with a thread chart and a stabilizer chart. Inside each compartment of the box has a label with the thread color, name, and picture so you can easily put it back where it belongs when you are finished. The top compartments(6) are also labeled to use as holders that you can feed your thread through. I'm waiting for the box of 80 to arrive so I can compare colors. It's the same price as this set but these spools have about twice as much thread on them than the 80 spool set. I'm curious to see if the same designs come in the box of 80 and I will update after it arrives.
