Pretty nice, no reason for needles to be so long
These look nice and work pretty well. I used danish oil on mine to make them even better. 2 issues that I hope they change1. The needles weren’t remotely parallel to one another2. They’re far longer than could ever be needed. I cut about 1” or so off mine with wire cutters. There’s some better individual products out there but not as a kit like this. I’d suggest shortening the needles. They’re very awkward to use with the shipped length

Frivolous item I didn't know I needed
When this showed up, I was shocked how much larger it was than I thought it'd be. Has a good heft to it but it was so expensive for what it is that I really didn't want to keep it. I've just been using a toothpick to declump my coffee grounds in my portafilter and figured it was good enough. Little did I know how much more pleasant it would be to use this tool instead. By my second or 3rd time making espresso, I was hooked on this tool. I have much better control of my grounds and have way more even distribution. Try it yourself and you'll be hooked

Handy
I do think it’s a little pricey for what it is; however, it looks beautiful and is quite sturdy. The little brush is a nice touch. Is this tool necessary? No, but I like it.

It works!
You get what you pay for. The weight is right and sits beautifully in its receptacle. Doesn’t get knocked over and remains in it’s place next to the tamper, voilà! The crema is just right every time, hence apparently the water is dispersed throughout.
