Easy build great manuals and great tech support
I was so excited to get this in the mail, I had been wanting one forever. When you get the package it includes a link to their google drive which has all the software and documentation you would need. The build manual was made with power point and it was awesome. The manual ad everything 100% easier and I had it up and powered on in a day. The only issues I had were that's couple of the acrylic pieces that you use to build the frame were damaged an entire corner was broken off of one. I managed to fix it with super glue nut it works and I was ok with it. The other issue I had dealt with the motors. The harnesses for the motors were st one time wired incorrectly and while checking on the wires I found the long cable for the extruder motor had a pin broken off of a wire. I don't have a pin crimper availible to me for square pins so I opened the old pin and did the best I could and followed with some solder it did however Crack the black plug but it works for now I had an issue after all of this with z motors not working at all. I got ahold of tech support and we were trying to work through it all in email I asked if I could call to talk to someone and I was informed that the tech support wouldn't be open for several days due to the holiday. He did however give me his phone number and I gave him a call and we ran though everything on the board and turns out the motors were wired incorrectly internally so I changed back thr wires I had already changed before the printer works great now and I haven had any other problems that I couldn't sort out myself with google. In a nutshell it was the best tech support I've gotten from anyone in a while. Also I was asked a couple of times if I needed any parts replaced that were broken. They seem like a small startup company and I won't take advantage of their hospitality. The only thing I would like to see them send me is a new cable for the extruder motor

Good Variety, Good Stuff, Use it right.
Overall, great ABS filament, can't beat the variety for the price. However, the variety might be a bit overwhelming for a newbie maker. The different colors appear to have different melting points and water activities! Further, the melting points for each color seem to change at different rates with respect to water absorption.Keep in mind that ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is not any of these colors, dyes give color to the filament. What other effects might the dyes have you ask?The yellow filament does fluoresce under a blacklight. The yellow and green colors seem to have higher melting points by a small amount. You will need to dry the filament if/when it is exposed to humidity. Note the melting points of each color when you get it, if those change it's time to dry. Wet filament seems to cause "bursting" as the water converts to steam in the nozzle and expands out of the plastic upon extrusion.I use a food dehydrator for like, an hour. But I'm in a reasonably dry climate. As far as I can tell, blue absorbs water faster than green; green faster than yellow; and yellow faster than red--but don't take my word on that, just be aware that it isn't the same for all of them.I seem to be able to go a week or more without drying any of them.Note the melting points of each color when you get the spool, if those change you need to dry it.I printed a small (~8mm OD, 16mm land length) pressure nozzle with my Prusa Mendel in the blue colored filament and it withstood 800psi of fluid pressure shocking against it when a valve opened (it broke at 900psi). Another similar nozzle of the same size printed in the green filament withstood 1030psi,and I haven't managed to break it yet.

Good idea, with a caveat.
It's OK, but the folks at the spool factory didn't take much care and wound some of the filaments in opposite directions. Our setup is such that all of our spools are mounted on a common axel behind our printer, and our printer is a dual head machine. So, if we wanted to print with two of the colors on this spool, one color feeds off the top of the spool, the other off the bottom - which will not work. We had to unspool 2 of the 4 colors, and then respool them back onto the supplied spool. A bit of a pain in the A. For single color units, if you don't mind changing the orientation of the spool depending on how it's wound, it's a decent supply of different colors so you don't wind up with a bunch of unused filament (the color that looked better on the screen than in real life...)

great way to get 4 colors at a good price if you only need a limited quantity and not a full kilo of each.
The material is good. Color is good. Adhesion is good. The combined roll with all 4 colors on one spool stinks. Only one anchor hole so need binder clips for the loose tail. 1 of the 4 colors was spooled on in the opposite direction of the other 3 {laugh}. But a great way to get 4 colors at a good price if you only need a limited quantity and not a full kilo of each.

Great plastic.
Colors are great, I didn't have any trouble dialing in the temps which were from 220C - 225C for my e3dLite6 hotend. The only issue I have is that the inner rings of the center hole have a tab of plastic, meaning they're not perfectly circle. This causes an issue for me because my spool holder just slides in through the middle hole and when the spool unwinds it eventually snags on that tab and causes a my extruder motor to skip once or twice until it clears that tab.

Great filament, doesnt work with DaVinci 1.0
Very good filament. I popped open my XYZ filament cartridge and loaded in some of the blue.Print quality was excellent. The sad part is that the DaVinci 1.0 uses cartridges with a little chip that tracks how much filament you have left, so I only got a quarter of the way into the filament I had loaded into the cartridge before the printer refused to print, reporting insufficient filament.Takes a boat load of points off of the DaVinci 1.0 printer, but doesn't impact Octave's score.Again, great filament, but not compatible with the DaVinci 1.0 printer (unless you are willing to build a chip resetter, which have been reported to potentially brick your printer after recent firmware updates.)
