Penny, I had to send these back by UPS and had to pay for that ($7 + dollars), was supposed to get a refund but have never seen the refund on my credit card. I couldn't use these as they made my eyes fill different and that is why I sent them back. I do believe men can use them also tho. Good luck....

Q: Are the temple pieces rubberized?

Yes, the back side of the temples is rubberized.

Q: Can they be worn over prescrition glassses?

Probably not. The lens are curved to fit close to the cheek-bones so it would seem to me that it would be a no-fit situation. However it would all depend on the shape and size of the prescription glasses.

Q: are the lenses made of glass or plastic (other brands use plastic and call it sunglasses...)?

These lenses are made of polycarbonate. Glass lenses are not allowed to be used as safety sunglasses and can't be shatterproof.
