Q: Will these fit a dirt jumper style bike?

They might depending on the diameter of your bars, I put them on a Beach bar type bicycle and think the bars were 3/4 -1 inch bar, hard to put on at first, used a bit of dish soap to live them up, turned out pretty good, except the cheap plastic caps didn’t fir so I have to juryrig up some tape inside the bars for them to fit. You want new grips on top of old grips? Have you ridden a bike before? It doesn’t work that way. The old grips come off and new grips go on. You can save the old grips. Put them in a drawer and save them for later.
