ROPERMen's Horseshoe Walking Shoe

Got these for a mule riding trip in the Grand Canyon, but I can't stop wearing them. They are soooo comfortable, and supportive on my very unstable ankles. I wore them all day traveling from LAX to Juneau Alaska (because who wants to pack boots?) and they were comfortable through all the walking in terminals and on the flights. I like the look, not too clunky or large looking on my admittedly rather large feet. Some shoes can make a pair of feet look huge, these were more flattering. They seem very well made and I expect them to last for years. They send them with optional extra insole padding, which I did put in but I suspect I won't want, it seemed to take up room in the boot that I would rather have for my feet (I have an exostosis that doesn't like to have pressure on it.) Just FYI, I tried the women's size and the largest were just a whisker too small to wear with substantial socks, so I went to the men's style. No problems with fit - still a good width, no slippage in the heel. Because of the exostosis, I tend to lace them a little loosely over the foot, then more snugly at the ankle.

I purchased my first pair of ROPER Horseshoes 10 years ago for horseback riding activities with my kids. They were lightweight, comfortable, and just the right amount of heel for casual riding. They quickly became my favorite work boot as well and have served in that role for the past 10 years. They have held up well and are still serviceable with minimal wear on either the soles or leather uppers. As a matter of fact, they still have the original laces!I regularly work on property with lots of trees with large thorns and will wear steel-toed loggers when cutting timber and heavy brush, but the ROPER boots are much lighter and more comfortable for everyday wear. So with that, I've taken a few too many thorns in the sole and decided to purchase a second pair. The new pair seem to be constructed just as well as the pair I purchased a decade ago so I'm expecting that these will last just as long. I would highly recommend these boots!

Boots fit as ordered and were comfortable right out of the box. Highly recommend these to anyone looking for this style of shoe.

This is the third pair of Roper ankle high boots I've bought. I keep buying them because they fir consistently, are overall well made, and last 8-10 years.I keep buying them in spite of the fact that they are made in China. I'd really rather not fund companies that offshore their manufacturing to people that say they want to dominate the world, both economically and militarily.Unfortunately I haven't found a suitable domestic alternate.If Amazon offered one other search option for products 'Made in the USA', I'd be there.

Though these shoes are made for men I just chose a size smaller and they fit perfectly. I purchased a pair of these sturdy shoes ten years ago and they finally wore out. I was so glad to find them online. They are the perfect shoe for working outside.

My husband had these shoes many times way back when. He thought he would get a new pair for work and they were the most uncomfortable shoes and didn’t last very long. They were a complete waste of money.

I had a pair of The Originals years ago and had been contemplating buying a newer style. I came across these and figured why not. I am so glad that I did! Their color is even better than in the pictures. They fit fantastic. The quality looks to be as good or better than the originals I previously owned. I can wear these for 10 to 12 hours a day and my feet do not hurt in the least when I take them off. Try a pair of these. You will not regret it.

Boots were what I wanted, look great, however couldn’t get a size that fit. Usually take 10.5 or 11, tried both sizes and they were both to short and didn’t feel like quiet enough room so returned.

Nice boots but a bit narrow on the toe. Probably needed the next size up.
