Great trickle charger / battery maintainer
We have had one of these chargers hanging in the garage at each of our homes for over 10 years. Never had a problem. Always reliable.We bought a new home ... so it's time to buy another set of these battery chargers for each garage in our new home.We plug in our cars whenever we are traveling for an extended period of time. The included battery cable with a plug makes it easy and quick to plug in or unplug.

Works as advertised and it's nice having a dual charger
Purchased this to charge our two RV house batteries during the off season. Fit and finish was very good and the unit works exactly as described, kept batteries topped off with no noticeable overcharging. Instructions are a little TOO detailed and can get confusing but - the unit is pretty intuitive. I would purchase this again.

Well made and is not cumbersome or in the way.
Well made, plastic enclosure is sturdy and robust. Good LED indicators, cords are long enough to work well without getting in the way. Hanger is handy. Idles the charging and keeps the batteries current. Sure is handy to have two battery connectors independent of each other.

Does the job!
The Schumacher Electric SV1410 6V/12V Two-Bank Battery Charger/Maintainer is excellent! It was easy to install. I bought this to store my two camper batteries that I pulled to keep them on a charger throughout winter. I was hesitant with which one to buy.. but I've had it for a while and have no issues.My one "complaint".. the battery connects has either a round one that you can attach to each battery OR one that clamps on. The round attachments did not fit my batteries, so I automatically had to use the clamps. I just wish they had two round portions on each one that are two different sizes.Other than that, no issues!

Worked fine after I figured out how to use it
When you hook the black clip onto a bolt or other metal part of the frame, it REALLY has to be clean and totally free of rust to make a connection. I thought the thing didn't work at first. Eventually I gave up and just connected the black clip to the black battery terminal (BEFORE plugging the unit in) and then it was fine. I had this thing outside exposed to below zero temperatures for 3 days and it seemed to work fine still. One thing to note is if you plan on connecting two batteries at once that are still in the cars, you have to park them REALLY close to each other because the cords aren't long enough. I got this to keep my batteries charged during an arctic freeze and had to park the cars facing each other, bumper to bumper, to get the cords to reach both batteries. I think they sell extensions though.
