Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Previously I used a 40 watt incandescent red bulb next to my bed. To save energy I purchased this bulb in red and orange. These lights were so much brighter than the previous bulb I didn't believe the rating, so I checked with a watt meter (shown in picture, 4 watts, but first watt can be ignored) and amazingly it is the rated wattage.I am able to see flicker on most fluorescent and LED bulbs (most people can only see the flicker in a slow motion video, which I've attached). Again I was amazed to find these bulbs putting out smooth, constant, non-PWM light. Honestly, I didn't realize any like this existed off the shelf.The colors are rich and beautiful, and at least for red and orange are great for night time. They are just bright enough to light an entire room and see easily, or read next to, while mellow enough to not disturb someone sleeping.Very important consideration: notice that the bulb is clear/white. Most globes are colored, which is BAD! The other bulbs use white lights internally, then absorb the other colors with the globe, turning the other colors immediately into waste heat. Those lights are literally wasting energy. The sleeklighting bulbs are using colored LEDs, so they are only generating the colors desired, and don't need a colored globe to absorb the unwanted colors. The side effect of this is that they are MUCH brighter. A 3 watt red LED, like in these lights, will put out as much light at a 9 watt bulb with a colored globe (because those lights use LEDs that generate red, green, and blue, then they turn the green and blue to heat with colored glass). This is especially true when comparing to incandescent bulbs which by their nature start out white; colored incandescent bulbs are extremely inefficient and therefore dim for any given wattage.I have a different manufacturer's bulb, also a red LED style. The other bulb has a red globe, white infernal LED, and flickers. They are both 3 watts, but the other bulb is so dim that it's utterly worthless; you can't even read next to it, so it's only useful for signs using colored lights.

Photo does not do them justice...these lights are very orange and just light enough to keep trick-or-treaters safe, but dark enough not to take away from my other orange lights. Very pleased with my purchase.

Perfect for soft lighting. This orange light color is the perfect soft color lighting for watching TV/ playing computer games when you want some extra lighting but not overpoweres. I had tried a standard soft white bulb in this lamp before and it was too bright in my room. The orange bulb is perfect. Dont know how long it will last but it is LED and the price was decent for these bulbs. You dont have to be a fan of orange to enjoy these bulbs as the light that comes off is a nice amber glow that is pleasing to the eye. And if you have it in a lamp, as I do, the shade will contribute to the final color emitted. It is, however, very orange when directly looking at the bulb.

The idea is that orange light is the least likely to wake you up if you have to turn a light on in the middle of the night. So, I have a double circuit in my office for the top light, so one light is regular, and one is orange. If I go into the office to do something and turn on the light, I do not feel like I am being assaulted with a wake up call. You might want to consider not using one outdoors. They are so close to red that someone might get the wrong idea what you are telling the world.

I've only had them a few days but the color and brightness is excellent. It's a great light for reading in the evening because it doesn't have any blue in it so it won't wake you up the way a normal light bulb would.Edit: A couple years later both bulbs are still working great, they are just perfect for my purposes!

I had purchased a cheap orange bulb years ago that I place outside my front door light. I decided to add two more outside the garage, and needed LED so that I can safely also wrap the lights in cobwebs. These were much more vibrant than I expected! Don't be worried, the bulb has an orange base, but a white bulb, it still emits an orange light!

This is exactly what i was looking for. An orange bulb seems to be hard to find this 2020 year. Packaged so no damage to bulb during shipping. Delivered sooner than expected, excellent. Nice and bright but not overpowering.

We put these in our bedside lamps to not be exposed to blue light before bed. It took some getting used to, but now we love it and I really have noticed a difference in my sleep.

Wanted for ambiance and is perfect!!
