Worked well for me, does get hot
This was the cheapest one I could find with a heat sink that presses down on top of the SSD. Took a chance cause did not have many ratings. Comes with an assortment of thermal pads with different thicknesses. Did get pretty hot doing transfer SSD to SSD, but blowing on the heat sink did seem to keep the temps down. Used to transfer old data from a dead laptop's SSD with no errors and no obvious throttling. Might want something with a bigger heat sink or fan for more intensive use.

Great enclosure but..... had to go back
This enclosure work great for nvme disks I had tried, WD, MSI, Kingspec, the speed is all around 1000 as stated, and I like the extra compartment to store 2nd drive to carry around, but I have to return it due to the plastic clip broke off when I switch the drive out on the 2nd time, because it's plastic, and when running nvme disk it'll produce lot of heat, and heat will destroy plastic, so over time the plastic will get brittle, I know it so I'm very gentle on it, but it still broke with very little force, on that part it didn't meet my requirement, cause I switch disk often, that's why I get the tool less design. I install Linux OS on it and ran it external works very well, when I ran the disk I had the enclosure open with a USB handheld fan blow on it so it stay cool (45c +-), if it change to a metal thumb screw I will buy it again, this one going back.

Great build quality, attractive price and top tier chipset.
This excellent M.2 enclosure with a quality build and well thought out design and thermal solution. It contains chipset named RTL9210 which supports both NVMe and SATA drives, and Realtek chipset has the good reputation on the market that providing stable performance with little wasted heat.About transfer speed, using the USB-C 3.2 Gen2 port (10Gbps) and it could transfer up to full 1000Mbps read/write speed. It also works perfectly with the USB-C 3.2 Gen1 port (5 Gbps) but the speed will be limited to around 460Mbps read/write.It is great for portability like if you’re on the go or working on a PC and its tool-less design does make a difference. One little flaw is that is a bit hard when you install the drives, you have to pull the lock component harder in order to fit the drives. But thankfully, I rarely switch drives.Overall I highly recommend this product.

Great heatsink with a minor caveat.
Been using it 24/7, works great so far, although it does every once in a while disconnect itself once every 2 days or so. Transferred 450GB till it overheated and throttled. Being used with an Intel 670p 2TB drive, with a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB in its extra storage bay.

Running Ventura macOS since Oct 2022
Wanted to test out Ventura macOS on external hard drive before upgrading to it on my 2021 14" Macbook Pro. Been running fine for past 90 days. These nvme drives seem to run hot by nature, I dont have temps but i like that I can leave it open to breathe if needed (or put a fan on). I don't do any intense work.I absolutely like that it can store an extra nvme on the back side!

Cumple su función
El material se siente relativamente bien, por el precio no está mal, pero bien optaría por algo de mejor calidad.

It runs very hot, peak temperature at 58C
A WDC SN520 512GB 2230 is used to test the enclosure. As a comparison a Sabrent enclosure is used.Speed wise, it's very good. The read/write are in the 1000MBs. There is virtually no difference in speed from the Sabrent. The one bad is the heat. To make the SSD hot, Crystal Disk Mark is run back-to-back three times. To read the temperature, Crystal Disk Info is used. The Sabrent peak at 52C while this enclosure peak at 58C.At the end of the three runs, the enclosure hotness was tested by physically holding with in the hand. The Sabrent was hot to the touch but was tolerable. The Graugear, on the other hand, could not be held for a long duration. The heatsink, top area, and the bottom was searing hot.One good thing is the amount of thermal pads that were included. There were 2 x thick pads and 2 x thin pads.
