Gorgeously alluring and built for the long haul
I confess. I never write amazon reviews. I like myself a little less every day for not contributing but I'm never really moved to do so. Even on the bad stuff. Most things I buy are just what they should be and nothing more. You buy it, you get it, you use it, and thats it. Life goes on. Not this thing. This sixteen dollar knife. $16. No not this thing. This thing makes the world stop turning the second you lay eyes on it and utterly changes your life the first time you use it. I know what you're thinking, and I was right there with you. "A box cutter for an EDC? Have you lost your mind!?" Well maybe I have. And if I did it might be the single greatest thing that's ever happened to me. I don't know why i never thought about a utility knife EDC but now I'll never go back. It's not like I'm trudging through the woods every day hunting wild game and cutting down redwoods to build a shelter. No. I work in an office. I sit behind a desk. Every now and then I use my knife to slice my snack apple into pieces so I can feel a little manlier inside -- but 99% of the time I use it to do one thing-- open amazon packages. This knife is downright sexy. I mean it- sexy. The wood is immaculate, the craftsmanship is flawless, the flip mechanism is sturdy, and it's built like an absolute tank. Seriously- it's beautiful. I find it hard to keep my hands off it sometimes. It's sitting on my desk as I'm typing this and I keep stopping to look at it and admire it. Weird right? You wont think it's weird when yours shows up. Buy it. Do it. Buy it now. Get it overnighted. You're going to hate yourself for every second you've ever spent without it once you realize what true love is. Are there cons? Sure there are cons. Everything has cons. The superior build quality gives it a good bit of heft, so it can have a tendency to weigh you down, but it's nothing compared to the weight of the regret you'll carry if you don't buy it. The flip mechanism is a bit stiff so it requires two hands to open. I'm a one-handed flipper myself and feel a bit silly trying to sling this guy open. Then I remember how incredible of a knife it is and realize I can never be seen as silly again as long as I've got it with me. On a more serious note I do hope it loosens a bit so i can open it one-handed. Then I can carry two.

Quality Product Worth Purchasing
This a great product. The blade is easy to change, and its make of quality materials that feel good in the hand. The lock mechanism is strong for safety and the weight makes it easier to cut thick card board or other tasks without the blade jumping like lighter utility knives which will reduce the likeliness of accidents.

Solid, heavy, good stuff
Fantastic weight to this knife, everyone at work comments about how nice this is when they ask to use it.

I like and use it every day
Very good knife. I use and abuse it and has a little play in it now but very good for 20$. Still have like 5 extra blades and they're very sharp.

Still a great tool at a good value.
Quality has suffered slightly since I bought my first one of these 5 years ago. In the photos below, my old one is the top photo and the new one is on the bottom. My first one was a work of art, and I later bought some for my friends because it was so awesome. This one doesn’t have the same fit and finish. It actually looks used. Anyway, still a great tool at a good value. Just no longer has the wow factor.

Item is great. I have small hands and it’s the perfect size. Love the color of the wood and the belt clip

Well designed and sturdy, but heavy.
The bottom line: This is a heavy, sturdy, well-designed work knife that is most at home when it's open and you're using it. This knife is not for someone who is searching for a slim, lightweight design. Pros: Quick-change blade lock is easy to use and designed in a way that it won't come unlocked under normal use. Knife is large enough to be gripped with the whole hand, just like the non-folding ones. The whole thing is put together with torx screws that can be tightened easily if they work loose. The quick change handle doubles as a thumb stop to push against for one-handed operation. It has a traditional, easy to use folding lock. Overall, the knife looks and feels *very* solid. The wood grain looks great. Cons: The knife is heavy - it's heavier than my 6" pliers The wood handle comes stained but not varnished Final Thoughts: I wish I had one of these to replace every non-folding utility knife in all my toolboxes. It is a reasonable work knife replacement. It is still small and light enough that a person could carry it as a daily knife. But you will definitely know it is there - you can feel the weight and size of it pulling on your pocket. If you like to travel light or already carry a lot of things with you, it may be a good idea to go with something thinner and lighter.
