Had this exact product but the glass gauge shattered for unknown reason (extreme cold, possibly). Bought the entire package just to replace the gauge but the affordable price may that possible

It is what it is and it seems to catch rain and measure it but the glass is quite fragile and so far I've broken 2 of them. The first one I bought came with a plastic bracket that lasted about a year in the UV before failing and allowing the tube to fall out. The replacements with the same SKU have come with metal brackets that are slightly stronger than aluminum foil but seem to hold it well enough as long as you don't bump it. I know it seems dumb to say that glass is fragile but I use and abuse glass things all the time without breaking them. The first one broke when the temperatures fell below freezing with a bit of water in the tube. The second one broke when it fell a few feet onto a wood deck. I hate plastic so I try to buy things made of metal or glass where possible but if I break one more I think I might have to just find a different rain gauge even though this one is affordable enough to replace a time or two.

Works great! Would have given it 5 stars but the “metal” bracket is flimsy.

I am not sure how this is going to work as it is no larger than your thumb. Not sure how rain is even going to get into it. We shall see i guess. It was cheap, and yes it is.

Easy to read, accurate and if the Sun is out, very warm. Lol. What can I say, holds water and is reasonable priced.
