Call Me Irresponsible

I am 25 years old and absolutely love this music! Michael Bublé is an amazing entertainer in the style of Sinatra, Darin, and Martin but brings a charisma all his own. This 'Call Me Irresponsible' CD has solidified him as a force to be reckoned with in the music world.Forget the hip hop and rap stars, this guy is the real deal! The music he sings is timeless, and his own songs are from the heart. 'The Best is Yet To Come' has always been one of my favorites of Sinatra and Nancy Wilson. Bublé's version is even better! His smoothe vocals coupled with the big band sound are extraordinary.'It Had Better Be Tonight' is amazing. This guy has a wide range of vocal ability and it is clearly displayed in the song at the end with the long phrases. One of my favs.'Me and Mrs. Jones' and 'I'm Your Man' are incredibly sexy, and 'Comin Home Baby' is a neat duet with Boyz II Men.'Lost' is a beautiful original song that Michael wrote, and the lyrics are extremely powerful. 'Everything' is a fun up-tempo love song that is just carefree and fun to listen to. I love his original pieces.Oh, and who can forget the title of the album 'Call Me Irresponsible'? What a fantastic vocal display Bublé has recorded on this song. It is just amazing.'I've Got the World on a String' is so much fun. It just makes you want to get up and dance, and you can hear Michael's personality come through in his voice.'Always on My Mind' is perhaps the greatest version of this song recorded to date. It is reserved and heartfelt, and his voice is stunning.'That's Life' is so much FUN!!!! The choir is excellent, and it sounds like Bublé is really enjoying himself. You will too!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CD to everyone!!!! Please enjoy and catch Michael on tour in your city this summer. He's even more remarkable in the flesh!!!!Somebody give this man a GRAMMY!

I am a huge Michael Buble fan and seriously wondered if this cd would be a simple retread, safely copying his succesful formula of mixing the classics with the contemporary.All fears be gone. Yes, he uses the same formula but he flies and soars above all his past recordings. Let me start by saying I have had the awesome pleasure of seeing Michael live in concert and he is dynamic, passionate a true gifted performer.This cd is the first that puts out that passion and intensity thru studio recordings. An amazing feat. The classics are made fresh and new. There is not a mis-step here. There are many contemporary numbers and I find they all blend together perfectly. I never say - oh, here is an old one.There are many standouts for me - ME AND MRS. JONES, I'M YOUR MAN, LOST EVERYTHING and an amazing modern interpretation of THAT'S LIFE.I just find this cd amazing. The ballads are more intense, the fast numbers more joyful, the band more exuberant. There are so many singers today who sing the classics but Michael Buble has finally grown to the position of not needing to be compared to any other singer ever again.He has come into his own. He is Michael Buble and now they will need to start comparing singers to him. I love music and when a true artist reaches their prime, it is amazing to hear. That is what this is.As for the lisp, yes he has a slight one but I dis that reviewer who mocked him so strongly. Michael Buble just stated in an interview how his recording sessions are nerve racking. He uses no filters, etc. It is purely his voice, raw and real - totally natural. If his vocal style has developed to have the slight lisp it only adds a distinction to his style in my opinion.This one should get him his long overdue Grammy.

When I first heard of Michael Buble, I thought he was just going to be a Harry Connick wannabe, but he is in a class of his own. In my opinion, he doesn't simply have a beautiful voice; his singing style has a lot of character too. I feel like he's really enjoying himself when he's performing.After falling in love with "It's Time," I figured "Call Me "Irresponsible" could only be a disappointment. How happy I am to be wrong! Buble is awesome here, and there are a lot of great songs to enjoy besides the hit "Everything." I love "It Had Better Be Tonight (Meglio Stasera)," the duet with Boyz II Men ("Comin' Home Baby"), and "Wonderful Tonight" w/Ivan Lins. I often don't enjoy remakes of classic songs by newer artists, but when Buble is singing them, I find myself forgetting what the original sounds like! He makes everything sound terrific. Even "Me and Mrs. Jones," despite not having quite enough soul for my taste or some reviewers, is pretty darn good.Listening to Buble always puts me in a great mood, so go ahead and buy this CD if you don't have it already. You'll be glad you did!

There is only one good song on this album. Hopefully he makes a greatest hits album soon.

I'll never understand why people get so stuck on Frank Sinatra when they hear Michael Buble sing an older song. First off, a lot of Sinatra's big hits weren't his originals. I think people that have this problem must have some type of OCD. I'm very glad Buble has given new life to the older songs and for me, has made them his own. The older songs and artists is what inspire Michael Buble. And lets face it, nothing is wrong with that. You can appreciate the music of a bygone era as most of us do, but open your mind to a great entertainer because that is what Michael Buble is. He exceptionally talented and this CD is amazing. The song "Always On My Mind" is beautiful and for me, it's the best version I've ever heard. Matter of fact, I believe this CD proves he can take any song and make it 100% his. I'm You Man" has to be his sexiest song yet. The song "Everything" was written by Michael, it has a old era vibe to it and is a fantastic love song. If you enjoy a beautiful voice and great songs, this CD is a must buy.
