Love the appearance on this kettle but it is hit or miss. I have bought two within a couple of years. Each time I had to return the first one due to early on rusting. My first replacement lasted almost two year. Recently replaced it due to rusting in the inside. My first one rusted within a month. The replacement seems to be ok so far. I do recommend not letting water sit in it too long and sitting it out to air dry or towel dry it.

It is smaller than I wanted. I need a kettle that whistles. I kept it on the stove for 30 minutes just to see if it would ever whistle. It made a small sound but not enough to hear from another room.

Only loose 1 star as the whistle is a little weak. My partner has a habit of killing our teapots by boiling them dry. I thought one with a loud whistle might solve this. Perhaps she needs a hearing aid too. I can hear it but it's not super loud as advertised.

I love the fact that it is stainless steel that's primarily why I ordered it and it whistles I love that I need that so if I'm in another room and the water's ready I won't let it boil out and burn the pot. What I do not like at all is a stainless steel pot it's got some kind of crappy lining in there and who knows what kind of crap that's going to put in your water that's why I order stainless steel I am not happy with it at all but I'll keep it because I'm not going to pay a cab $20 to take me to the UPS store and $20 to bring me home to return it.
