Portable, powerful, and simple.
This setup has a great balance of portability, simplicity, and sound quality. I was first introduced to this speaker series with the 600i setup, borrowing a set during the summer, combining them with a projector for movie days during the summer. I really liked the sound quality on the 600i, but found the price higher than I could manage, plus they are large and rather heavy, making them difficult to transport and move around. Taking all of that into consideration, I opted to purchase the 400i system, and thought this bundle looked like a good way to go--especially since the $700 I could get speakers, (instrument) cables, stands (w/travel case), and microphone. The 400i speakers are perfect for in-home use whether for movies or jam sessions, the receiver works well and the sound quality is exceptional for their size; I have watched several movies using these, including films with big musical scores and loud noises--Jurassic World, Shin Godzilla etc.--and they performed really well. What 400i may lack in audio capability (compared to the 600i) they more than make up for in their more portable size and weight. I would guess the difference in weight between the 600i and 400i to be 15-20 pounds, with maybe a 2-4in difference in size all around--they are definitely much easier to fit in a car or smaller storage space than the 600i. The canvas bag it comes with is for the stands, which means you can walk in with a speaker in each hand and the stands on your shoulder. The setup is extremely simple (this applies to both the 400i & 600i); pull the power & speaker cables from the back of one speaker and the receiver from the back of the other, then hook everything together (NOTE: Any accompanying instrument cables or similar accessories (microphone & cable) are not stored in the back of a speaker, they would need to be packed separately). The stands are similarly easy to setup, though make sure everything is secure before you set the speakers on them.To sum it up, if you cannot quite afford the 600i or need something more portable and easier to move around but still want high quality and are okay with the smaller wattage output, this setup is an all around superb system, both in its own right, and as an alternative to the 600i.

This Stagepas 400BT is Bada-s system.
I got this just in time for My Halloween Scaryoke' show, Talk about good sounds and power this has it for such a small unit, amp fits neatly in the back of the speaker either one and cables, into the other speaker, fit neatly in the back of the other speaker The controls are easy to understand and operate (just read the manual first). The compact size was the reason I chose the Yamaha Stagepas 400BT system, also ordered the roll around case for this system, it fits both of the 400BT speakers perfectly and rolls real nice sturdy great quality. I am impressed with this system I used to lug around 2 speakers and an amp all my mics separately into a venue, not no more one trip in and one trip out. I bought the Yamaha amp mounting bracket that screws on to the amp and then goes on a mic stand, I use my laptop wired into the amp with the RCA jacks system that sounds real nice. This unit is a great pa for a karaoke venue.

Exceptional clarity, loud, GREAT BUNDLE!
I have to say the guys at Austin Bazaar really have things figured out when it comes to what a solo musician needs, and they've bundled it together in this package. I did a LOT of research on portable PA systems and read many many reviews, and the Yamaha 600BT seemed to have the best ratings overall. I wanted to wait a little bit to post a review because now I've had time to test this system out at live gigs. I am also part of a 3-piece group and I can tell you.. this system is plenty loud and powerful enough to handle a pretty large room of 200 people or more! It is crystal clear and since the bundle came with the heavy duty speaker stands it gets the sound up to ear level. I had recently bought a Shure Beta 58 microphone which is a fantastic mic, and the clarity is astounding! It requires me to be a better singer. I also purchased alongside this, 2 Yamaha padded bags made just for the 600 BT, and they were well worth the money. You need to protect your investment. I own a 4-door pickup truck and every bit of my gear including guitars fits in the back seat area. One thing you will want to know is if you buy the bag, one bag fits one speaker, so you will need to purchase two bags. The PA control board is fantastic, the only thing missing is a monitor level control knob for each Channel. Also the monitor 1/4" output is basically a line out, and is not powered. That means if you need a floor monitor, it will need to be self-powered. I LOVE THIS SYSTEM!

Better than expected
This system is probably more than I required for my 3 piece group that plays only small venues, for fun. However I hate to buy "crap". The cheaper alternatives all had mixed reviews or were missing a feature that was important to me.Unboxing the Yamaha was a very satisfying experience, it was carefully packaged and protected, it looks expensive and rugged, the stands included in the bundle are heavy duty Fender stands and fit perfectly, the mic included is a off brand but sounds great for my purpose.I tested the system with mics, keyboard and even a bass guitar. The sound is impeccable and there are so many adjustment options that I'm replacing some of my other equipment that this system now makes obsolete.I couldn't be happier with my decision to spend a little more for the Yamaha, it was well worth it.
