The material is so thin that it can barely support its own weight. Add water, and if you don't support it perfectly, it splits at the joint and water leaks inside the mold between the balls. It's very difficult to use. Once frozen the ice is OK, although it does have a significant ring around it (what another reviewer called 'Saturn rings'). I bought another mold, one that was much better designed, made by Hanyao, that works far better.

The tray is made out of a rubbery silicone material and it consists of two pieces (top and bottom). Did not come with instructions, so I've been adding the water from the holes at the top of the tray and it is very easy to do. It makes 6 cubes about 1 1/2 inch diameter and it makes them perfect spheres even on my first try! I should say that the spheres were a little bit smaller of what I expected, but, they look great and it makes it fun for any of your favorite drinks.

This ice tray mold is pretty cool once you get the hang of it. It didn’t come with instructions, so my first batch was tricky. I thought you had to fill it through the little holes in the top piece. Great news! You don’t! Fill the bottom tray cube spots then the top piece sort of “locks in” to the bottom. The holes are just an overflow. The ice releases easy enough since the tray is silicone. The round ice cubes work great for keeping drinks cold!

Difficult to use.First off, you really need a funnel to fill these. Other products similar to this include one.The big problem is that the mold doesn't stick together when filling, the weight of the water pushes the mold apart and you end up with a big ice sheet.To work around this, after use get the mold pieces wet, put them together and put them in the freezer for a while - empty.Then you can fill them up - but only if you don't twist the mold, it will come apart again.So I'm stuck filling up the tray IN the freezer. pain in the butt, but it does work.

Maybe I haven’t mastered the technique yet to fill and remove. When it does “work out” the ice balls are perfect and don’t dilute the drink any time soon.

About 2 inches across - a little smaller than what I though they would be based on the pictures. I use a large syringe to fill the top half through the little holes. Works great! It took a little bit to get used to loading the trays into the freezer without spilling. Hold onto both sides and pinch toward the middle to transport them from sink to freezer. Very easy to remove ice cubes. Love the round shape. Very fun.

Does not make perfect round ice. It’s okay. It’s just ice after all.Update: the company sent me a new ice mold to replace the one that doesn’t make round ice. I haven’t tried it yet but again it’s just ice and I’m sure it’ll come out fine. I liked the communication from this company to try to make me happy with my purchase. I’m giving 5 stars for that.
