I just bought my second one. I find this to be an amazing little machine in picking up dog hair on tile or carpet and it is so light I bought another one because the battery only serves about 1/2 of my 2 bedroom house. (It is made for quick pickups and not intended for full house cleaning) I got rid of my other vacuums except for the Shark Navigator for the hose ability. Even that is too heavy for me to use for the whole house. **Q: How does this compare with the Hoover stock vac?** A: I have never used the Hoover. Until now I’ve used a 1953 Electrolux that remains the best vacuum ever. But I’m severely disabled and maneuvering the old Lux grew to be too much. This vacuum now serves as my only one and is almost as good as the Electrolux. It requires an occasional poke up the plastic tube leading to the dust collector when a large piece gets stuck in there, but otherwise it cleans my home beautifully. (And chases off my four shedding cats as much as the Lux did.) **Q: Is this safe to use on a hardwood floor with no scratching?** A: This cleans my kitchen & laundry room floors better than the Dyson V10 Animal I bought & paid a LOT for! I have 3 litter boxes in my laundry room -- Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Litter, which is like little stones, for the most part -- this vac gets the loose pieces up very well! I use it on my carpet, too, between deeper vacuuming. I'm on here to order another, to have a backup in case they discontinue this one like they did the 15.6 volt Accucharge Stick Vac -- my favorite, & I'm sad they discontinued it. **Q: Will long wool shedding rug clog this vacuum?** A: We have a Pomeranian and her hair doesn't clog this vacuum, but we keep her hair shorter. The longest it gets is 4 inches. The limitation is that this model has a life span of 2 to 2.5 years max before the battery dies. I'm ordering my fourth one today (2024) and have thrown out two that died since 2020. I keep two working at a time so that I have instant accessibility in both areas of my home. Also know that customer service is non existent should you want tor place only the battery. I keep buying this model because of the features I first mentioned.
