Powerful, beautiful fortune deck!
This deck's energy had been calling to me for 3 years and I recently received it! I am so excited about it...I can't give it enough stars!I'm VERY picky when it comes to which card decks I purchase. They must meet pretty strict spiritual parameters and I must admit, I take a LONG time to decide upon which decks to purchase (see it took 3 years for these haha). These cards surpass my wildest expectations for them! The power behind the deck is intense yet not overbearing, consistent, somber and dependable. It took some time for my energy to adjust to it, but it came along quickly! The cards are thin and lightweight, shuffle easily and effortlessly, and are amazing to look at! The artwork is stunning and the black base of the cards is among my favorite details about the deck's visual aesthetic, and the wording on each card that just draws me in every single time. The wording on each card is classic fortune telling energy, beautifully done and crafted in amazing handrawn font.My only concern is the black borders rubbing away from use, and that naturally heavy handed me MUST learn to be way more light handed with these cards because the cardstock is lightweight and the finish isn't extremely high, but even those things will be appreciated with this deck I'm sure! They definitely don't take away from this 5 star rating in any way!Mystical, almost hauntingly beautiful, and so accurate it's almost a little eerie, even for myself (and that's saying alot), this deck is amazing. One of the best gifts I've received in 2020 already, I am positive!

Card stock is easily improved...it's no longer a reason to pass on this one.
Ok so yes, there are complaints about the card stock, because they are black cards and with very little use they get chipped looking. Found a fix! I edged the deck in black (as the side view of the deck is white) with a black archival ink Pigma brush pen. They don't chip anymore, they look better being all black, and it would be super easy to do any needed touch ups. So now that that's solved...This deck is blowing me away. I did a deck interview spread with it, like I would with tarot, and the answers I got from it were that its protective, honest/honorable, has my back and is at my service. It came across as very warm in personality. The feel of the deck is like stepping into an old school gypsy tent with low lighting and having her walk you through what she sees in her crystal ball. Also like having a good friend, who has the hook-up on the psychic stuff. When I first got it, I did not immediately click with it. I did a few readings that seemed vague, and so it sat on my shelf for over a year unused. I know, I'm sorry. But something drew me to it a of couple days ago and I decided to attempt to learn the underlying structure of how the deck system works. That's when it all fell into place. I read that LWB and got close to knowing the categories of all the cards inside and out. They are:*The Royal Court*The Realm of Fable*The Bestiary*The Treasuryand*The ElementsEach category covers different aspects of life. It's pretty comprehensive, and has many card meanings in it that you just will not find in any other deck.It works well with most tarot spreads as well I found out...that opens up a whole new world of uses as well.So yeah, I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a more peculiar and old-timey fortune telling deck. It's messages are striking and to the point. I'm very pleased to have rediscovered it, and it tells me we have a long journey together that will bring rewards.*Edit: There is a companion book to this deck that is sold separately. It took my readings with it to the next level, I highly recommend the book with extended meanings.

Great starter cards
This is my first time with oracle cards. I bought this deck while relying solely on Amazon reviews and images. Priority for me was the design and ease of use of the cards. I look for intense colors and dark backgrounds for my oracle and tarot cards. I avoid overly feminine designs and pastel colors. Surprisingly, out of the wide range of cards available, I had a very difficult time finding a design that resonated with me. I finally settled on the Madame Endora deck because the design was acceptable with its dark background and strong images. The mix of Egyptian, Celtic, and Fantasy figures is a little odd, but the unified design and colors tie them all together. As for the ease of use, I enjoy the reading themes of love, health, money, and general prosperity - all universal concerns that I always want to know about. There are 6 spreads in the enclosed little white book (two 1-card, one 4-card, one 5-card, one 6-card, one 9-card). The best ones for me were the 4-card and 5-card spreads...easy to read and accurate. I will definitely keep this deck and keep using it to practice reading cards.
