Hello there,Spoiler alert: This is a great yet simple laminator.I did a ton of research before purchasing this product. I found different types of laminators: those that heat the rollers and those that use a heat plate.Heated roller laminators, like this one, have multiple heat elements inside the heated rollers. Four of the six pressure rollers are heated in this one, and only two are unheated pressure rollers. Cheaper laminators only use a heated plate between pressure rollers, delivering lower-quality results. And I mean, way lower.Now, back to our Tamerica TCC6000, which heats four of its six rollers, it still has a card under its sleeve. It can go as high as 320F (160C), which is uncommon and particularly important if you are playing with toner foil. You can pay more for a laminator that still won't have four out of six heated rollers and achieve this high temp. Both are extremely important for high-quality foiling or photo lamination.This is a very simple yet powerful device. You have to follow the start-up and shutdown workflow manually; otherwise, you will get everything that more expensive laminators can provide.And if you got this far down reading this review, I have a couple of answers for you: No, you can NOT get the same results with a $30 laminator of any brand, not in a million years you won't. Really good laminator with extra rollers that help push the sleeves together for good protection. Highly recommend getting cardstock "carriers" to help keep adhesive off the rollers.Only "complaint" is that the digital display is in Celsius. For those of us in Fahrenheit land, it would be nice if the display acted accordingly. But there's a conversion chart on the top of the device. So it's not really that big of a deal.
