Solid, excellent mouse pad. Definitely recommend
I was looking for a solid mouse pad for office work and after having some trouble with a cheaper, colored version settled on this one. I absolutely love this mouse pad and I'm thinking of getting a second one for home use. I work as an office manager so I'm on the computer a lot running reports, entering data, etc so I wanted something that would work smoothly with the other products that I had. First of all, this is a heavy mousepad that doesn't slip and slide easily around the desk. In fact, it is hard to get the mouse pad to move around at all. When you want to move this mouse pad you actually need to lift it up from the edge to move it around. I like the weight and the grip that the bottom has because it keep is from moving and keeps my mouse where I put it. The top is also harder than standard mousepads which makes for smooth tracking on the pointer. The wrist support is just right for providing a comfortable place to rest your wrist while you are working.I would definitely recommend for office work and I think it would be great for gaming as well. I am considering buying on for myself at home for gaming purposes.

Excellent first impression
Easy open clamshell - very convenient. One product insert (light paperboard) inside the packaging along with the mouse pad of course.FYI:Innovera website is: [...]Product support @+1.866.756.4676Initial impression following first day of use follows hereunder:1) Product (Innovera Softskin gel mouse pad, Item# IVR-51450) is clean, no blemish or damage. I did not notice any strong odor (mentioned in some reviews) although you may notice a very slight odor if you put your nose directly at the wrist rest but (at least for me) I did not find it unpleasant and could not detect any odor while working.2) Wrist rest is very soft, smooth and comfortable.3) Working face of the mouse pad has relatively hard surface, finely textured, no issues/problems with mouse tracking or binding.4) Back side of mouse pad is slightly tacky, I like the non-slip rubber backing which keeps the mouse pad in place. Easy to "pull" up and reposition pad to suit your workspace and ergonomics at your desk/work surface. I adjusted the pad a few times during the day until I found spot and orientation that felt most comfortable for me.5) No complaints or negative comments at this time.Again, this is a quick review with first impressions (day one). Should my opinion change with continued use or any problems surface later, this post will be updated to reflect same.

Larger than most gel mouse pads
This gel mouse pad is almost twice as large as my last one, and I really like it. I didn't even realize just how small my other mouse pad was until this one arrived. My old pad was getting pretty grimy after daily use for about 4 years. I did a quick search and found this was rated as the highest rated gel mouse pad on Amazon. I didn't even read further. I just ordered and figured it would be at least adequate with such a high rating. As it turns out it's even better than I had hoped for.The large size means the mouse is able to stay on the pad, rather than needing to be lifted off the pad to readjust to scroll again from the other side of the pad. The gel part your wrist sits on is very plump and wide, so there's lots of room to rest your hand/wrist. I ordered it in the black color and it's quite professional looking. The gel pad is opaque, so it doesn't have the clear gel look. At a glance, it has the same look as smooth black leather. So it will go well with black leather office chairs and such. The bottom of the pad grips the desk well, and the pad's surface works with each of the mice I have used with it. It's basically the perfect mouse pad. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if I need it. There's a reason this pad is so highly rated. Everything about it is just right.

Terrible coarse surface
This mouse pad is one of the top rated pad on Amazon. As a person who works with computer 12+ hours a day, I need a ergo mouse pad to help my breaking wrist. I firstly bought Belkin F8E262-BLK WaveRest Gel Mouse Pad (Black), it's cheaper than this one but the wrist rest area is very firmed and uncomfortable as I expected. Thus, I bought this one and hope a better luck. The rest area is very comfortable. The gel works like a magic that is much softer than Belkin F8E262-BLK WaveRest Gel Mouse Pad (Black). However, the surface of pad are very coarse and rough. I guess that coarse surface is deliberately designed for enhancing the optical mouse sensor. However, with the top-edge mouse, the coarse surface make no help but only bring uncomfortable touch to my fingers. It's not a big deal but you will feel that somehow you are scratching a rock surface when you move mouse. For people with small hands may feel no difference in that your finger touch no surface. To me, I don't like the feeling.Overall, the quality (the mass/nonskid base design, etc.) is better than the Belkin one, so I give it 4 star. Though, the price is a little higher than Belkin one as well. Though, unless wrist rest gel is important to you, both of them are okay. However, if you travel, the Belkin F8E262-BLK WaveRest Gel Mouse Pad (Black) is much lighter and thinner, which might be a better choice to carry with your laptop.

Love this pad - heavy user and former gamer
I was extremely surprised by how nice this mouse pad is. It's a huge improvement over everything I've tried so far, for daily usage. Its pros are:- Firm and very comfortable gel wrist rest. Feels like it would last a long time, is easy to wipe down and doesn't move- Pad stays very firmly anchored on desk- Mousing surface is a textured hard plastic that is extremely smooth - more so than glass/metal/cloth mouse pads that I've tried in the past. It also remains smooth even if you get a little dust on it - again unlike other materials that I've encountered in the past. I love it.- Mousing surface is flat, without raised edges, allowing the edges of your mouse to glide over (so it doesn't restrict movement)- Good, comfortable size for daily usage (not so much for gaming)It does have some potential cons for some users:- If you like to move your mouse around a lot, meaning more than 6" of movement (either you use a low sensitivity, or you're a gamer), this probably won't be big enoughFor reference, I use a Logitech G5 mouse, and I have never had a problem with running out of space.

Give Your Wrist a Rest
I have been using my cardboard table surface as a large 'mouse pad' and was laboriously and slowly moving the mouse around. Finally decided to buy a mouse pad. Was going to go for a basic $5.00 model like my son buys. Boy am I glad I upgraded to this more deluxe model. The wrist rest is fantastic. It gives great support. The material it is made out of is smooth and feels good - no friction and not plastic feeling.I use pinterest a lot for my design classes for filing images and then will put 1000 images a week on a powerpoint type presentation for classes. The wrist rest definitely gives your wrist a vacation. Your wrist rests nicely in the middle indentation. The mouse glides easily on this pad, almost like skates on ice. Really speeds up use of the mouse. Like the shape of this pad, narrower at the bottom and wider at the top. This mouse pad exceeded my expectations. I will be giving it as a gift this holiday season.

Bubbled up making it unusable
This product is close to perfect, and I want to love it. But, as with my second wife, Giselda, I can't overlook its flaws. The good: The wrist rest portion is cool, smooth, and supportive. The size is spot on for my needs. I use and love the complementary Innovera keyboard wrist rest. The bad: The mouse pad portion of this product has one recurring and fatal flaw: It always develops a bubble right in the middle where the mouse goes. I bought one of these in 2015 and replaced it with another just like it after the first bubbled up. As with marriage, I thought I was just unlucky the first time around. Then the second one I bought (mouse pad, not wife) experienced the exact same bubbling after only 5 months. It is a small pad, which means I am constantly awkwardly moving my mouse over this damn bubble. It's like trying to navigate your mouse over a potato. Totally ridiculous. It may not be clear in the pictures, but, trust me, the bubble is there and it is annoying. This is a flat, motionless piece of equipment. It should be able to last a lifetime. Instead, it takes cues from Violet Beauregarde in Charlie and Chocolate Factory and inflates into this ghastly deformity that the world would be better off without. You will rue the day you meet Giselda, Violet, or this Innovera mouse pad. At least someone has warned you about the mouse pad.

Relieved wrist and elbow pain, highly recommended
I've been using this pad since August 2013, and it made a huge impression since day one. I do a lot of design work (and gaming) and use the mouse intensively, so any kind of pain interferes with work flow. When I started noticing wrist/elbow/shoulder aches after long (or even short) hours on the computer, I bought this pad based on other reviews. I was not disappointed.PROS:Gel Pad:- Firm yet soft, sleek, and super comfortable to rest your wrist on, even with a bit of pressure.- The pad itself is curved up toward the outer ends, so you can easily get different levels of height/support if needed.- Stays in place during heavy usage and fast mouse movements (good for gaming).- Does not get hot or sticky from wrist movement. A bit warm, but that's expected.- Does not feel like it would break or wear out easily (unless you or your kids have a compulsion for poking holes into things).- Very easy to clean/wipe down.Mouse Pad Surface:- Smooth, with just the right amount of texture/friction.- Zero "jumping cursor" issues from pad reflection (I use a standard optical mouse).- Good amount of room for arcing back and forth.CONS:- The very edges of the textured part of the pad are a dust magnet. Not terribly, but it's enough to be noticeable. Nothing that can't be remedied with a Lysol wipe. Totally not a deal-breaker for me.NOTES:- Despite listed dimensions, the actual designated mouse area is just under 8" at the widest point, and just under 7" from top to front base of gel pad. Keep that in mind if you have bigger hands, a ginormous monitor, or just flail the mouse around a lot.I can honestly say that using this pad has relieved ALL of the nearly-carpal-tunnel pain I was experiencing previously. I can click to my heart's content all day now and not experience any tension, soreness, or strain. Wrist angle means everything!

My Mouse and my wrist are very happy.
Very comfortable mouse pad, and my mouse seems to respond better as well. Very happy with this pad!

Buen pad

Highly reccomend
Perfect. Has changed the way I work. Easy on the wrist and elbows, and therefore fingers. I got one for home and loved it so much that I ordered another for my place of work.

I must say I like this more
Bought a very expensive one for my relative as a present and this one for myself. I must say I like this more. The surface, the wrist rest, the way it sticks in one place on the table - all very good and solid.Well done!
