Revell 85-4426 Ford FD-100 Pickup Model Truck Kit 1:25 Scale 78-Piece Skill Level 4 Plastic Model Building Kit , Black, 12 years old and up

I haven’t built a model kit in decades; on my recent return to the hobby, I started with an AMT ‘57 Chevy Bel Air (1/25) – talk about junk and headaches! This kit, on the other hand, is light-years ahead in quality and has been nothing but outstanding in detail and fit. Instructions are also so much better than AMT’s Bel Air!This is a really nice kit at a very reasonable price and I highly recommend it! I’m now looking forward to building the Revel Foose ’65 Impala. Thank you Revell for putting out quality; if this kit was as bad as AMT’s kit, I’d probably (sadly) leave the hobby for good.

I noticed I thought pieces were missing when I opened my purchase. Part way through painting it’s the axles that are missing. I don’t want to return it for a full replacement because I’m too far into painting. I don’t see a contact seller option to get the missing parts.

I bought this for my husband and son to do together. They are still working on it but so far it’s great. All the pieces are here, the directions are easy to follow and they are having fun 😊

This model is very well designed. Assembly is easy. Very little clean up needed. Get one before they're gone, you won't be disappointed.

This is one of the Best Kits I have had the pleasure of building, very high quality. I would suggest to anyone to buy it. All parts fit and finish perfect.

Why oh why do people leave 5 star, or any, reviews for something they've not even started to build?Let's get one thing clear, this is nowhere near Tamiya standard but that said it can be built into a really nice model if you're prepared to put in the effort and correct the defects.I like it, so much so I've ordered another to paint differently and customise it further.

One major issue is the axel length. They are not quite long enough in my opinion. There is also not enough surface area to glue the hood brackets to - basically a straight edge to a pretty much flat surface.

It's not a tamiya kit as mentioned, but there is so much you can do with this kit! Enjoyed doing a custom paint job, but loved it so much, I've ordered another.One thing I will say, is the window frames aren't well defined on the windscreen and rear of the cab, so masking those may be troublesome.

Nice little kit to build, ideal for a beginner to buildJester remember to order sanding sticks for seam lines for a better finnish.

Nice model, usual mould issues to clean up but overall enjoyed the build
