My kids enjoy this book so much. I like how the last pages explain throughly about compounding. My kids receive money as gifts for all holidays, we are trying to teach them not to burn a hole in their pockets. It’s a easy book that my 4 year old can understand.

A lovely story with a powerful message! My nieces and nephews love this book. "Do the Math" and "Sheila's Six Saving Tricks" are a bonus and great discussion topics. I highly recommend this book!

As a 20 year financial services veteran, I have a passion for teaching the next generation basic concepts about money. I have seen far too many adults who lack the skills needed to make good financial decisions (I really shouldn't complain as this is how I earn a living). Many of them tell me that if they had learned the basics of needs vs wants, setting goals, budgeting etc. at an early age, they could have avoided many costly mistakes.This book provides a great opportunity to discuss these basics with elementary age children in a fun and sing-song way. The story's rhyming really catches and keeps the attention of the reader(s).I use this book in my financial literacy workshops that I provide for Kindergartners through 3rd/4th grade and the kids love it! They always want to see the book after class and the parents always ask me where I bought it.I highly recommend this for any educator, parent or grandparent (although I do recommend additional discussions and worksheets to drive the concepts home).

The younger ages didn’t get what was going on. Got to be a better choice out there for the younger kinders
