SERIOUSLY MAGIC!!!!
Holy cow, this suit has been life changing! For real. First-time mom here, and I was exhausted and overwhelmed and about to have a meltdown, then my OB told me about this magic suit she used for her baby. Needing a night with more than 2 hours of consecutive sleep, I immediately ordered one. Night one, my usually awake every 3 hours baby slept 7 HOURS!!! I was beyond thrilled, my husband was beyond thrilled to have a glimmer of his human wife back, and life was good. By night 4 in her suit she was sleeping through a FULL 10 HOURS! I was actually a bit worried at that point, because she was only 2.5 months old, but the pediatrician assured me that if she was hungry she would wake up. She'll be 4 months soon and she's still sleeping through every night. This suit has truly been a miracle for us! Onto the logistics. We started out with the 3-6 month size, and my little chunker quickly filled that out. We got a second one in the 6-9 month and alternate between the 2. I think we're about done with the smaller one though, maybe another week left (it should be noted that she's wearing some 6m clothes already). I do recommend having 2 suits because you have to air dry them, and it takes a full 8 hours. Also be sure to turn it inside out halfway through the dry time. Living in FL we went with the cotton option, and as long as we keep the air at 71° at night she's good. *BONUS* They look like baby astronauts in the suit :)

Sleep deprived to sleeping through!
My six month old started having trouble with both naps and overnight sleep out of nowhere. We had already transitioned from the swaddle to the Love to Dream Sleepsack. Teething, growth spurt, leap, separation anxiety…God knows. We love a good contact nap and I am okay with occasional co-sleeping, but I’m also a working mom so something had to give. And I wanted my sweet girl to get the sleep she needs. The price tag on these was a little alarming, but as others have said in their reviews, you can’t put a price tag on your sanity. I tried it during nap time first to see if one nap a day could be in the crib. I kept our same calming routine: nursery, book, sound machine, snuggle and rocking. Um, magic. I was able to put her down awake and she fell asleep on her own! I think the way the fabric envelops her body and keeps her just the right amount of warm and held is the ticket. She slept 1.5hrs without waking up enough to need soothing. I was concerned at first about the thickness, but the cotton and breathable inner layer aren’t that hot on my girl. Like practically all babies I know, she hates being cold and loves her snuggles. I think this is helping her stay cozy without overheating. I do run the ceiling fan and a tower fan constantly in her room to keep it cool. So I tried it again that same night. Magic again! She slept overnight, again stirring a couple times but easily able to get back to sleep. This mama is rested and happy now that her baby can sleep! Baby girl has met the rolling over milestone, but has not tried to roll in her sleep, even in the other sleep sack. We’ll be using this one until she tries to roll over on her belly while wearing it. She’s petite, in the 30th percentile for weight, but 67th for length so the 6-9 month suit fits her perfectly. Her feet stick out so I put socks on them for comfort. Bonus, they look absolutely adorable in these things. I got the sleep deprived giggles the first time I put her in it!

If you’re hesitant, just try it!!!
For our second baby, I was so hesitant to buy this because it would be another product we may or may not use for a short time (aka waste money) but my friend kept insisting I buy it because we weren’t getting any sleep during the night. I finally caved after 2 weeks of broken sleep and the first night we used it, he only woke up once in the night rather than every hour. He’s 5 months now (have been using for a month) and I love it even more because he just started rolling! The sleep sack stops him from rolling at night and he just goes to sleep. During one of his day nights, it was dirty so I used the kyte sleep sack and he kept rolling in it but finally when I put him in the Merlin he stopped and went to bed.
