EAG2 inch Receiver Hitch with Wiring Harness Class III Tow Trailer Hitch Kit Fit for 07-18 Wrangler JK

My 2015 jeep had mounting holes already pre-drilled, this hitch lined up perdectly, bolts were the right length, not so long that I had to take things apart and not so short that I was concerned about them staying secured.The connector for the lights connects in-line with the drivers-side tail light connector.Only complaint is that the connector didnt have the proper shape to fit in the rectanglular mounting hole so I had to ty-wrap it in place.

Installed on a 2017 wrangler sahara, perfect fit and the wiring was simple just the issue with plug holder built on the hitch. I drilled a hole in the slot and used a zip tie, it won't last.

Upsides:The hitch fits perfectly and is easy to install(with proper tools).The harness is super easy to install.My total install time was 15 minutes.Downsides:The harness connector does not snap into the bracket on the hitch. It has to be hung from the chain loop on the hitch. Not a big deal, just not esthetically pleasing.When installing the hitch, a very thin box end wrench or thin crescent wrench are needed to hold the nuts amd washers in place while installing and tightening the four bolts. On the more expensive versions the nuts are welded to the hitch for easier install.

Overall seems good quality. The big negative is the bracket for the trailer wiring connector beside the hitch. The bracket is way bigger then the four pin trailer connector.

Bolted up to a 2016 Wrangler unlimited. Used factory bolts, took a lot of stuff off to find out just unbolt the 4 bolts in center of bumper and the hitch lip takes place of the long shim between inner and outer bumper. Wire harness working but did not fit in harness retainer hitch bracket. Remove driver tail light unplug bulb, plug in harness and run trailer plug down gas fill pipe looking for path that matches up with rivits with open holes.Good welds, tight to bumper. Crinkle finish, receiver doesn't bounce.

The instructions provided great details for installing the hitch. The wiring harness on the other hand were absent. Luckily, You tube had a video that provided my instructions for the wiring harness. Otherwise, this product is great.Update, It has been a couple years since I got this and found out the powder coating is chipping off revealing surface rust. Replacing the rear bumper with a steel bumper that includes a receiver hitch. I will be selling this one since I no longer need it.

Order for my sons Jeep JK, came in a couple of days and installed it in 30 minutes. The only thing that I really think was poor was the wiring harness does not fit into the hitch and had to put a couple of tie straps to hold it in place. The funny thing is the instructions showed it a little different but maybe they went cheep at EAG. I believe that it is a good product with a really nice harness until you go to match them up and see that it doesn't fit the hitch and they figure it going to hang there below the hitch ?, really sucked.
