Winco Commercial-Grade Stainless Steel Fry Pan with Helper Handle, Natural Finish, 14"

This is my second purchase of this skillet/frying pan (son wants one). I purchased this same one last year and love it. It is much easier to fry larger batches without spilling all over the stove top and I found a lid here on Amazon that fit perfectly  Danesco Gastronome Pro Stainless Steel 14-Inch Diameter Lid . I can't imagine how I lived without a skillet this large but now that I have used one, I will ensure I always do! It doesn't require a lot of heat. As a matter of fact, if you use too high heat it will cause food to stick. I have a gas stove and cook at the lowest setting so I have no trouble. If you are used to stainless this pan won't cause you any trouble. If you're not used to it, now you know - use lower heat! It is a wonderful addition to my kitchen.p.s. I forgot to mention that research description says this pan is "Master Cook Fry Pan, 14" dia., 18/8 stainless steel with 5 millimeter thick aluminum core, NSF." It is a Winco pan (Winware is simply "by" Winco). I find the pan heavy enough. I don't use it all the time so the fact is isn't 18/10 isn't a problem. I bought it for its size - 14" - and it's perfect in that capacity. It doesn't scratch (I don't gouge it but do scrape my stainless egg turner across the bottom) and to me, it cooks evenly.Update 8/2014: Both son/wife and I still love this pan. After all this time, it still cooks beautifully and evenly. There are stains on the bottom which is the only difference between now and when brand new. Still no scratches or gouges on bottom. I take good care of my pans and this one is a keeper!

I needed a large pan and this is great for that. It's very heavy which is fine, being it is large. But the interior of the pan isn't smooth & shiney like other stainless steel pans. I guess that's the quality you get for the price. But overall it's good

I love this pan. It’s perfect for cooking sauces, sautéing proteins and vegetables. When I was first considering it, I saw some low reviews so I was at first apprehensive. After reading a view I realized most were about food sticking. But, as someone who mainly use’s stainless cookware, I new you have to adequately heat the pan before putting anything in it, including oil. You can tell if it is ready by dropping a few drops of water in it. If they explode and skitter around the pan like ball bearings the pan is ready. This performs as well as my All Clad pans and the size is perfect for large meals. I highly recommend this pan.

My pasta recipes went from 1 to almost 10 just because of this pan. Can't recommend enough.

I was not expecting much when I ordered. First according to the listing it is made in USA, so I figured it would not be too bad. But the one that arrived was made in china. I was expecting commercial grade basic stainless pan, as I have worked in the restaurant business for over 25 years before leaving it. This pan would not last a week in a commercial kitchen. The handle is just a crimped thin wall stainless tube and looks like it could bend easily. the handel sticks straight out of the pan, so it won't stack well with other pans and looks kind of absurd. I did test and it seems to heat under induction but did not remove the label as I am returning the Chinse junk, It would be a good deal for fifteen bucks or so. It is what I would expect ordering from AliExpress.

Big. Thick. Sturdy. Distributes heat well despite dwarfing my burners. Works. 3 years later still works.It would be nice if it had a lid.I recommend.

This is a stunningly good deal and a great restaurant quality saute pan. It cleans up from even overdone sauces quickly and with ease. I bought this to replace my spun aluminum pan from the same manufacturer, and it's confirmed my faith!

Been through all the teflon pans. tfal was my fav but was getting sick of changing them out every couple months when the teflon started scratching off. This stainless pan is amazing, it cleans just as easily as all my tefons did.... how have they made us believe that teflon was more convenient when its not brainwashing i think. piss me off why i haven't been using these stainless pans instead of those chemical infestated teflon pans. like to wack the guy that invented teflon with a teflon pan, douche
