Lightweight, packable, waterproof and good quality
Acquired this to use on a 7 day hike and to keep in my emergency kit. It did not disappoint. Waterproof in the rain with no leakage, relatively easy to vent via the zippered screening around your head (stayed dry and vented in the rain by just being aware of tucking the tub under the overhang of the hood). This is a very light bivy sack and the taped seams and material ensure that the system stays dry. A rectangular Nemo pad fit with a 32 degree bag snugly, but with no problem getting in or out. Changing inside of it required some contortionism, but was reasonable for a 6' 180' male. It isn't spacious like a tent, but for fast and light endeavors, that isn't what you want anyway. This would not be appropriate for someone who is not flexible or is substantially overweight, it just doesn't have the space. If you pitch it on a slope, you will slide down to the bottom, there is no way to lock yourself in place. Setup was 5x faster than my companion's single man tents, which needed several adjustments after being pitched. This one you just drive your two stakes and throw in your pad and bag. Easy peasy!I would buy this again. Simple setup, light weight, and waterproofness were the main selling points to me and it did not disappoint.

Not great. Not waterproof.
First night I tried this in the backyard, it rained. Within 30 minutes, I was laying in a puddle of water inside the bivy. If not for my sleeping pad, my sleeping bag would've been soaked. I had to bail and go back in the house. If I have to use a tarp with this to protect from the weather, I don't see any advantage over a bug bivy with a tarp that provides better ventilation, is cheaper and lighter... or a UL tent that costs about the same and adds maybe 1lb to the overall weight of the 'sleep kit'.

Will fit 25X78 Pad
Was initially concerned this would not fit my Big Agnes 25x78x4 pad, but it does. With the pole, I find there to be ample headspace inside

Not waterproof.
Don't get this unless you are 100% sure it will not rain on your trip, or you plan to supplement this tent with a rainfly.

Praktischer bivvy

Unzufrieden
Kopf Abstand Reifen hält nicht, kippt um.
