Overall, it's pretty good quality compared to most halloween costumes which are usually trash. It's a very pretty jacket. Material is stiff and smells terrible. I've hand washed/line dried it and it still smells a little. I'm going to give it another wash before she wears it because of the smell. The washing process was pretty easy and did not damage it or fade the material but I was pretty careful with it. Coming out of the package, it was very wrinkled but the washing took care of that. It comes with a pretty gold strip of material to lace up the front. The pants are thicker than I expected from the reviews. I was kinda expecting tights but these are a nylon type material but not warm at all and the white stripes are see-through. I bought the costume for the jacket only and it fits my 10 year old daughter very well with a little room to grow. She normally wears a medium women's top or XL in child's sizes.

This costume fits well. The only thing is the extra lace that hangs down like it should be tied somehow. But I don’t see a visual on how it ties in. I’ll probably just tuck it in somewhere.. I guess. Otherwise I was surprised how well it fit since it is a M/L I assumed it be more on the medium side. Fits just right!

Loved the jacket. Nice quality and pretty pirate details of lace and gold accents. Bought M/L for 13 yr old daughter who wears an 8. Fit was perfect so I'm not sure how much larger than an 8 it would fit. We did not like the pants/leggings as the material was thin and once on if stretched at all you could see through. We paired it with her own black leggings and a black and white striped top to add that pirate stripe accent. So basically I paid $50+ dollars for a jacket. Beware it smells horrible of dye and should hang to air for a couple days. Will definitely need a good steaming out of the package. Found the perfect hat to compliment the color of the jacket.

A medium was ordered and fit well. My wife is a 6-8. The jacket has to be ironed before wearing. Iron it inside out. I thought this came with a pirate hat. It doesn’t. So, I found this one at a local Halloween store.

Wore this to a 50th birthday "pirate" party. I skipped the leggings because they were very thin and see through. The jacket and the hat are super cute. I will have to wear this for Halloween :) Thank you!

Jacket is nice, but the pants were way too big and poor quality. I'm 5'2" size 10.

I love this costume. I wore it for our Gasparilla Celebration in Tampa, Florida and had many compliments on it. I originally ordered the Small but it actually was X Small/Small. So, I purchased another one in the Med/Large size and rushed that order. I ordered it on a Thursday afternoon and received it Sat Morning! Just in time for the Gasparilla Celebration!! It is made well for the money. Just had to steam it a little out of the package as it was squished in the bag, I would do that anyway with other clothing items.I wore my own stripped jeans underneath (although the "leggings" that come with it are sufficient) and added my own boots and a hat. I would recommend this to any swashbuckling gal. ARGHHHH!!

Cheap material as soon as i washed it the velvet came off cause the smell of the package was horrible, the size was okay I’m 5’7 140 I ordered a medium fits well
